08 MS3 dynoed on 10/28/08

Yesterday was a great day for me. i got very impressive numbers and can't wait to hit the 300 whp. 3 people dynoed which were me with a MS3, a 04 vortech supercharger mustang which put out 357 whp, and a 03 350z which is fully bolted and tuned but some how only put out 264 whp.

Me how ever pulled off a 280 hp and 304 tq!!
Only mods are:
injen cai
turbo xs test pipe
forge bov
exhaust depot fmic

The car ran PERFECT!!! a/f were right on and everything sounded good.
The first run he said my boost wasn't holding in fourth
the second was done in third that's why my torque is so low
the third run he did in fourth but i held boost the entire time but i was only pushing 15 psi which means if i would have gotten a BC before i went i probably would have pushed the 300 mark.

also my car doesnt hold worth s*** at the top end. i know this car has more in it....

Now my decision is do i go with the cobb or the standback? i got a while that's what my rents are getting me for christmas.:)

Hmm, seems a little high in HP/TQ for those mods...

yea i was expecting more like 265

and fmic ftw. one of my favorite mods and most hated(still doesn't fit perfect but will when i'm done with it)

not sure because i added the test pipe at the same time but over all performance wise atleast 10-15 just for the fmic. i can chirp 3rd now. and i actually like it because it's easier to stay out of boost but it's not due to lag because i didn't feel any difference than the tmic.
 
I want a FMIC but it just seems like a mod thats "past" the daily driver status.

actually I would think it would make it a better daily driver, so I am confused as to your statement.

in fact I am baffled as to why you would possibly think a fmic would hinder the cars ability to get you from point a to b to c to d every day.?
 
i don't drive my car at all since i have a dd. since i've gotten my fmic i actually want to drive it more because i can stay out of boost so it's easier to drive but i know if i want to get on it i know it will. but back on topic

What do you mean its easier to stay out of boost?
 
A FMIC and a DD... I think the same. So when you are sitting on the side of the road waiting for Mazda RSA you are busy wrenching to get your CAI out, Your BPV switched back AND your TMIC put back on? No thanks...

Have AAA tow it back to your house and wrench on it THEN get it towed to the dealer.
As the old saying goes..."gotta pay to play." :D
