07 Mazdaspeed 3.. NEED HELP PLEASE!

Hey.. I'm new to the forums and joined to seek some help from fellow speed 3 owners. I had a few issues to bring up and i hopefully can get some answers. But lets cut to the point. When im driving my car and i go to launch out of a dig from 1st to 2nd of course i loose traction but when i go to throw it into 2nd I finessely let off the clutch and i get a big bang noise from under the hood. It doesnt do it all the time but only when i come out hard. Anyone know what this could be? and I also have had a problem with my clutch slipping from 1st to 2nd as well, and this is just recently. It has only happened to me once so far but let me tell you it didn't smell nice.. :mad:. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE

No one has any ideas or suggestions? I don't know if its my motor mount or something else. The problem is onlt when i puch it or lanch out of a dig.. when i bang in 2nd it sounds like the engine actually smacks the rear of the engine bay... its pretty loud(boom08)

Take it back to the dealer ASAP! That isn't normal

The first thing that comes to mind is the motor mount. Have someone rev the engine and see how much movement there is. Are you using the stock IC ?

Yea I am.. I thought the same thing, that damn stock MM.. Im going to get the SU MM in a couple of days, hopefully after I install it i wont have this problem.(hand)

I was asking 'cause a few people with after market ICs and stock mounts say the IC plate hits the firewall when driving hard. A friend just bought the SU MM, and the vibrations are not as bad as we thought (he bought the one with the softer bushing), and it gives a nice feel to the car.

Indeed! The SU rear motor mount is awesome. Highly recommeded (2thumbs)

This never occured to me and like what MS307 said, it's not normal.
I'm not a mechanic, but if i hear big bangs under the hood, the first thing i would do is take it easy and get the dealer to look at it.
I've driven hard before shifting close to 6000rpm and throwing a brick at the accelerator with no problems with clutch slippage or big bangs under the hood.
The only big bangs i hear, actually a "POP!" sometimes is coming from the exhaust when i downshift but i think that's excess gasoline that's not burned off and making it's way to the exhaust (dont quote me on that ,like i said i'm not a mechanic).

Yes. My advice for you is to stop abusing your car. From both the sound and the smell, your car is sending you a message loud and clear. A road car is properly driven with smoothness and finesse.

look out. the bang is the motor mount. upgrade that ASAP. the rear stocker is a joke.

clutch burning is no good. get ready for expensive labor coming uppppp

Alright and you act as if I never drove a car before... I dont ride my clutch and I DONT dump the clutch, I treat my car as if it were my baby. And it's established.. Ill be ordering my SU MM very soon.

I too get that loud bang on my 07 msp 3 and i took it into the dealer and had a tech ride with me so he could feel and hear the bang and he then he had the car for two full days trying to find out what it was. His only conclusion was that the exhaust was hitting the car underneath. He changed the motor mount but that was a recall and still to this day, 7 months ago, mazda has no idea what it is.

LOL! get a motor mount man. its your turbo/DP hitting the firewall. I feel your pain I was freaking out when that was happing to me to.
