...Reached its end!

The Protege5 is no more. I dont remember much about the accident. All I remember is me crossing a GREEN light at 4:30am running aprox. 50-60MPH then suddently out of nowhere a blue Highlander crossing in front of me. I just hear the crash and then everything blacks out. Then I remember getting out of the car and the ambulance and officials talking to me.

That same day my wife was supposed to go to a job interview...she couldnt arrive. On january I had lost my job and 2 weeks ago I got a new one that pays less than the half of what I was earning. and NOW THIS!

I ended up with some minor traumas a small leg fracture. Right now it hurts behind the head in the neck, torax, and the leg just under the knee where the fracture is. Im happy that im alive but my life is giving me a big turnaournd and I dont know why.

I hope God shows me something good soon...Hes just hurrying things too fast.

About the part out....im not sure, but I dont think I will be able to sell things from it and ship them. the whole front, including transmission is damaged. Usually insurance companies here dont do the same as in the US, theres no option to keep the car, but I will talk to them to see if thats an option.

kind of sounds like my december. All in one week: my tv broke, next day, cat knocked down my laptop, that broke. next day, uncle died, bad news is he didnt leave me any money. day after, engine blew. day after, i find out mazda wont cover it because of an aftermarket intake. I couldn't help but laugh and smile at the end of that week. Figured there was no reason to be pissed off, whatever happened had already happened and you can't be too upset for too long about material things.

damn that sucks dude. glad your alive though. man I almost got into a major accident 2 days ago. crazyness

im really pissed off because I lost my good job on december too. I was earning good enough money to pay for rent, the car, child support and my goodies. Now I could barely pay everything, and now I loose my car, which we use to go to work.

In certain spots people in Puerto Rico don't stop at night. There is little trafic and people are afraid to get jacked so people get used to not stoping. Scared the s*** out of me. But thats what they told me and still was caught off guard. Well good thing is your ok, they say an accident you can walk away from was a good one.

It could have definately been worse. I'm very sorry to read of everything seeming to go downhill lately but trust me it will get better.

A few weeks ago after work I picked up my 5 & 6 year old boys from daycare and was going about 40 mph through an intersection that had turned green for at least 7 seconds and this lady in an Expedition wasn't even looking going 60 just plowed straight thru. I usually don't have to second glance at this intersection, but this time I did and schreeched to a halt into the other lane to just have her miss me. I could never live with myself if something bad would have happened to my kids!!

Keep hard at looking for the right job while paying the bills with the bad one. I have been raising my boys by myself since they where 2 and 1 year old and i have a good job but I'm still always living paycheck to paycheck. Income tax time is definately better though.

Just keep your head up!!

those pictures are rude...looks like some major crash there, some guardian angels must have saved you...
hopefully things will become better for you and we'll see you soon with another turbo p5 ^^

True True, We have all been there man. God will work it out. He always does. He uses the hard times to teach us how to better enjoy the good ones I think. Hey at least you have all of us to come talk to. Hope you get to feeling better. I am still getting over a Bike wreck from a few months ago. Hey! if you need a walking boot for your leg I can sell ya one really cheap (thumb)

s***, Ig, sorry to hear. You are lucky to get out of that one with only minor injuries.
You had a great car, but it can be replaced. Your life WILL get better, though...
I've gone through some crap in my life as well, and survived.

That REALLY sucks, man. I've heard about drivers in PR...you must have been good to last THIS long.

If you end up selling anything off the car, I'll buy some stuff. If your washer pump still works, I'll take it.

Thats right....on low speed streets, not where a 6 lane avenue crosses.

Revisiting the car...the extent of the damage:

Engine on the floor, out of its support mounts
Transmission melted, caused by battery leak
Strut tower bar is bent, both sides
Radiator broken, made crap.
Side of car, crap also

The scene: I was running the green arrow...along with the green light. Then I T-boned him.
