This looks a little odd to me...This site has tons of different specs for all kind of cars, but they list the MSP as taking 54.27 seconds to reach 130mph. That couldn't possibly be right, could it? I get on it 0-80mph all the time getting on the freeway, and I've gone from 80mph to 130+. What to you guys think??
0-130mph time...

your car is a ricemobile so it probably does take that long, esp. with all those decals weighing you down

i tried last week and im still waiting to get to 130 damn slow protege...lol

i like his msp. the wing really goes nice with the roof scoop, and the fear this sticker is off the hook.

54 seconds must be wrong, if you figure most 1/4 mile times are some where around 15 sec and a lil less then 100mph. i couldnt see it taking 40 second to get from 100-130

That's what I was thinking. I know our cars love pulling all the way to 130+, but I never really tried. Hmm, maybe I'll try this tomorrow...

hmmm.... i think that site has alot of BS numbers on it..... by friend has a Infiniti FX45 and he runs a 17.87 stock..... but on that page they say it can do 14 sumthin...... it also says a Neon R/T is faster than an MP3....... when my ES can beat my friens R/T..... both stock, both 5speeds.

I'm starting to think they are specs people sent in from personal experience, ie: their own car at the track.

The site is probably right. I now because I have seen how slow the car is after 100. Its a joke in stock form. Accel after 80 is laughable :). I would of smoked an S4 if this wasn't the case. The accel from 80 to 90 took about 7 seconds full wide open throttle. I just have injen and stock boost. I always take the gears to red.

On a side note(still related) have any of you guys redlined in 4th and then tried to shift into 5th? In my car I couldn't, it felt like there was a wall there, my only guess is the rev limiter, but I have never heard of it kicking in for an upshift.

Our car stocks are nothing all to special, plus I bet the times were pre flash.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..........HAHAHAHAA (lol)

Maybe it's just because I do this for a living, but doesn't anyone else notice that the "ricemobile" is all Photoshop? I would hope that no one would do that to a Speed...

When the car starts getting into those high speeds, it takes an incredibly long time for it to accelerate, since it's pushing the max HP it can. If you're in CA, you should try getting it up there one time while you're driving on 5 between Sac and LA. I drove my Supra to 150mph, and that thing took a damn long time to get there, even when i was red lining 4th gear to get it up there.

Yeah, it also has to do with the size of the engine, L6 V6 V8s make a lot of power in the higher RPM band, our little I4s won't do much after 80 :). But upping the boost always helps.

Hey I got a vid of me racing my friends TT supra from 80 on, if I can I will get it posted, he is making about 450 to 500whp. LOL it looks like I am going in reverse! :). He got to 135 before I got to 105 lol.

I dont see any potential for top speed with this car, it has a little potential for 0 to 60 and 1/4, but it is strickly a AutoXer.

I got over 130 mph. It was from 60-130+, but I dont think it'll take about one minute to get there.

my car pulls to 120 no problem but after that i hit the governor at 132 in about 15 secs it hauls ass through the gears and respinse in 5th is still good but at 120 it slows down a little, its also becuase of the drag factor. I think its pretty decent in stock form. My gsr was the same way. im stock just flashed. if that made any sense haha

allthough i did get the jizzer (GSR I/H/E) up to about 150 on a straight stretch of highway, took a while but damn that was scary!!!!

I had mine at 125 while racing an Integra GSR. We started at about 75 mph. I am happy to post that I pulled on him all three times... My car was bone stock with the flash at the time. He had some mods done. Not sure what, but he had at least CAI and exhaust.

How about these numbers?!

0 to 130 mph and back to 0 again in 7.5 seconds!
(0-130-0 in 7.5 seconds)

That is correct. Michael Schumacher did this in 1995 in his Benetton Ford Formula One car. Now; That's performance!
