I have had this issue as well. I also notice it when it is humid (which in Houston is quite often). I'm hoping the dealer will have some kind of solution, as the smell is not the best.

I have struggled with this as well. I am often using this switch to toggle back and forth so as to not be blinded during the early morning commute, but then I struggle to see the text at dusk. Not a major annoyance though.
