    which axle for MSP?

I hear you on the ebay stuff, but I would make an exception with the BP, there's enough people running them in the Miata turbo world with no issues for me to not think twice about them. Only reason I don;t have them in my Turbo Miata is because I got a slammer deal on stock Bp-t connecting rods...

    which axle for MSP?

A BP swap could be done for under 1K if you can do a lot of DIY and have a few pull it yourself yards around. A Vanilla BP motor is capable of 250whp add a set of $250 ebay connecting rods into that engine and stock pistons and 300whp will be reliable on the engine side, no promises on the...

    which axle for MSP?

Mazda pulled the 2mm thinker axles from their old parts bin off of a 92-95 mx-3 with the 1.8 v6. Itwas a slight upgrade with no R&D necessary.

    i hate my msp

Also if possible the line to the wastegate should be relocated somewhere after the turbo but before the throttle body. There is a prime location on the bottom of the stock intercooler, where there is a hose barb. I love mazda but they made a big boo-boo by introducing vacuum to the wastegate...

    i hate my msp

PCV was fine, and was correctly functioning by being open on idle causing the issue. Problem is when the maf is relocated the breather line on the valve cover which originally pulls metered air after the maf is now pulling unmetered air before the maf, on idle. That is unless you put that...

    i hate my msp

Do you have the maf relocated? If so you now have a massive vacuum leak due to the pcv system pulling in unmetered air. My mazdaspeed did the same thing. Some never get the code with the maf relocated, I was one of the unlucky ones with a more sensative ECU. My fix was to disconnect the pcv...

    626 head questions

It will work but you will need to plug the distributor hole with a freeze plug. The intake ports are a bit smaller so you may lose some power.

    MSP Brakes on P5

That one is new to me, I've had 15" mx6 wheels on my MSP for winter and never had brake clearance issues. I can't imagine 16" wheels would be an issue.

Test of Winter tyres compared to AWD

The thing with winter tires is that the compound is optimized for traction for a colder environment. They grip much better even on dry pavement when it is below 45 degrees compared to all seasons, which the compound hardens up to a point where you lose a lot of traction and control. If you live...

2000 protege auto to manual swap

You need to look up which pins on the old auto trans plug were for the neutral safety switch (This will be in a factory service manual) and jump those two wires. This will enable the starter. You will also need to see which pins enable your reverse lights and wire them into your reverse light...

I think my stock turbo is blown...

If there's enough oil leaked into that cylinder you will get a false reading.

I think my stock turbo is blown...

If you are fouling a plug only in one cylinder you most likely broke a piston ring, or cracked a ring land on that piston. It happens a lot on these cars due to the engine having a long stoke. It puts a lot of strain on the pistons and rings, add boost and its strained even more.

    Advice wanted on new wheels

    1. There shouldn't be a big difference in gas mileage between the two, maybe .5 mpg at most. The weight of the wheels being more important in that matter. 2. If you get wheels with the same offset as the factory msp wheels you will not rub with 215/40-17 tires if the offset it +40 or lower you...
