    I have the hks vta setup and it makes the sounds you describe. I thought mine was doing something wierd too so I put the stock bpv on and it was still there. Its just the cold air intake on mine thats so noisy. Gets on my nerves a little at times.

    Mine is the same way. Thought it was wierd too but I have never had a car with a rear wiper so I'm not much help.

    Even if the DH is off a point, doesn't laloosh still have an unknown problem in 4th gear during the multiple shift runs?

    Has anyone done a before and after test with one of these? Definitely not sounding like its worth 275 if its a 'custom' install.

    Noise

    oh it will get worse....I have 6000 miles on mine and the rattle is 5 times as frequent and runs all the way acroos instead of just the drivers side where it started. Hate the dealership so I will fix it one of these days.

    I think I have the same rattle but I don't feel like ever taking my car to the dealer after my 3+ hour oil change. lol Think i will tackle this one once it warms up. Almost sounds like the speaker is blown. Very annoying.

    I was caught in a severe downpour the other day on my way to work. Could hardly see the road for about 7-8 minutes. I thought for sure I was going to have problems but I didnt. Even with deep puddles that I could not dodge. I kept my foot out of the gas as much as possible and held my breath too...

    A/F ratio?!

    If you have the stock setup from the mass air to the turbo, double check it. The SRI should not make a difference unless the MAF housing is too large or something. I say disconnect the EBC since you said it was relatively easy IIRC ,and take it for a spin.

    Its a vacuum on the intake side. A leak will add unmetered air thus making it lean. It would be the first thing I looked at. Next, I would take the EBC off and see if the condition continues.

    Between the mass air and turbo, there is no boost. That would make it lean if there is a leak. Just something easy to check before diagnosing gets more involved.

    Maybe a vacuum leak? Something between the mass air and turbo. Just a guess. Might explain your boost not going past 15.5.

    With the clamp on there, they wont be able to see it with a scanner. It just stops the reading from going out of range on the high side. Functions normally otherwise. I would think the EBC would void your warranty quicker than a map clamp.

    You could always put the second cat back in and pretend its not doing it. Is yours an 07 or 08 out of curiosity? If its the turbo seals, you can drive it. You will need to have the dealer fix it eventually though.

    If its really white, then its coolant. I would smell it. You would know if its oil. That 2nd sensor should just be looking for a voltage drop from the cat. It should not adjust the air fuel ratio at all. Unless something happened to your head gasket or something, I still would think its the...

    Depends on which o2 sensor it is. If its the second one, I dont think it would do much other throw a CEL. Its there to moniter the cat and nothing else as far as I know. If its the first one, I would not drive the car till the sensor comes in. As far as the smoke, I would lean towards the turbo...

    I 2nd the downpipe for power. If you want a cat back, the cheapest one I found was corksport. 479?? I think. Thats what I am leaning towards, Sounds good from what I can tell on sound clips. Can always change mufflers later for a different sound.

    Turbo Tutorial

    Go to the book store and get Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. More info than you will ever need. Otherwise, you dont need to know a whole lot on this car until more options come out like the COBB AP. Just throw a few bolt ons on it and call it good for now.
