500 bucks and I want a CBE, what to do?

Ok here goes, got 500 buck burning a hole in my pocket and I would like something quite a bit more audible than stock. I do not want to go to a muffler shop rather but rather a system off the shelf. I have searched the forums but no conclusive info.

What would you get in my shoes? Of course I the price will differ by a little but I am open to suggestions and links if you have any.

I really dont want to deal with a downpipe and a check engine light. I would like to stay away from the turbo as much as possible. I really just want a CBE

I 2nd the downpipe for power. If you want a cat back, the cheapest one I found was corksport. 479?? I think. Thats what I am leaning towards, Sounds good from what I can tell on sound clips. Can always change mufflers later for a different sound.

That is a pretty good idea, I dont here much about them rather I hear more about the GHL and HKS system. Do you happen to know about the corksport quality?

The CEL is intermittent and I do think that Corksport changed the O2 sim to fix that issue. I'm just too lazy to contact them and get a new one.

If you really dont wanna deal with the check engine lights and want to stay FAR away from messing with the o2 sensors, if you get a test pipe you'll get a little zoom zoom along with the vroom vroom. Any test pipe would match with the stock exhaust system, but if you do plan on doing any further exhaust mod then I would recommend sticking with the same brand ie: if you get the corksport test pipe then get the corksport downpipe.

So in the end you spend about $150 on the testpipe and have $350 to spend on any other mod you. If you feel you want more after you have installed the testpipe by all means go ahead.
