    Drilled/slotted?

I have the rotorworks D/S rotors on all 4 corners on my car. They seem to be perfectly fine for me. I bought the car with the rotors installed, so I can't compare them to stock, but my buddy said my car stops better than his mp3 does.

    boost gauge

I got the Autometer Ultra-Lite in a single pod on the A-pillar. Works fine for me. Most gauges should do the same thing though, they're just pressure gauges.

What have you done to your MSP today?

I went through all the piping to the MAF yesterday, trying to get rid of the dang P10171 Bank 1 lean code, seems to have gone off for now. I started installing my boost gauge yesterday too, ran the vacuum lines, just gotta run the light wiring today, but its works, sweet!

    Virginia Tech. Thread

Yeah, I was trying to go as well. But between moving and the holidays, it just didnt line up well enough. I'll definitely be having a few beers and watching the game though, should be a good match up. We stepped it up the 2nd half of the season, and UGa finished strong as well, should make for a...

    Virginia Tech. Thread

I'm coming back to VT in the spring, can't wait to get back to blacksburg. I spent this past semester working a co-op in Raleigh. I think a few of you all are on the ccvt boards as well. Anyone going to the peach bowl??

Im in a real pickle here.

You have a newer, low mileage car, that gets good gas mileage and is fun to drive. You're still in college. Concentrate on college, get good grades, get a good job, then go and buy a nice car or faster play toy with the money from a career.

    DIY Custom FMIC Installation

Shoot, I didnt even pay attention to it being you, sweet, right near me. I might take you up on seeing it one day. The pics look really clean, I'd be interested in taking a closer look. What do you think the biggest hurdle was in the project? Just routing around existing lines, or more...

    DIY Custom FMIC Installation

Did you have to cut much of the piping, or could you just connect them together in a couple configurations to make it fit? This is something I'd like to do in the spring time, so I'll be waiting to see the rest of the pics on it. It looks like you did a great job with it, awesome!

    Help me choose a CAI

Has anyone ever made their own CAI? Since it's only a few pipes, could you just take some aluminum pipe bends and slap a filter on the end? I havent really looked under the hood of my car that much yet, but it's one of the things I wanted to look into rather than spending the freakin $250 for...

03 Blue MSP sighted in Durham, NC.

you just pm'd me asking if it was me. I was on 55/54 intersection today right around lunchtime, but my MSP is titanium. I've seen like another 1-2 lurking around in the southpoint area. We were probably all in the same place at the same time today, would've been ironic if we all hit the same...

    13 Seconds?

Yeah, depends on what year it is that you wanna beat. LT1's run high 13's in stock form, LS1's will run low 13 to high 12s even in stock form. They're pretty dang quick engines. I just sold my 98 Camaro this week, I'll miss that car.

Good tint shop in Triangle area?

Does anyone know of a good tint shop in the area? I just sold my old car, and wanted to tint the windows on the MSP with some of the money from it. I live in Morrisville right now, so the closer the better, but anywhere in the triangle area that does a nice job would be good. I'm thinking about...

    MazdaSpeed B-Spec. Low Temp thermostat

how much are stock thermostats?? I just got my msp, but I assume the stock one can't be more than a couple bucks. Anyhow, an old hot rod trick is to drill a few holes around the outside disc on the thermostat. That lets a little coolant get through before the valve opens fully any normal...

FMIC idea for the MSP, check it out! GI!!!

That's not exactly gonna be the most optimal design, that 180 degree turn is gonna cause friction and a noticeable pressure loss. It would work, but just not nearly as efficient as straight through intercoolers with a little more pipe work. That's my general opinion, but I've just gotten my msp...

    Mechanic in B-burg

South Main isn't too bad, they're consistently voted the best shop in blacksburg in the VT newspaper. Depending on what work you need done too, I'd check out the VT Car club (www.carclubvt.com). Join the forums, we're a good group of people. Chances are someone in the club has the tools to do...

New guy, just got an MSP

No way, you're in Durham? I'm actually in Morrisville, just past RTP. I think I saw a silver MSP driving by southpoint earlier this week. I think there's a few driving around this area.

New guy, just got an MSP

Hey everyone, thought I'd put up an intro about myself. I just got my MSP a few days ago, and have been reading up and researching on the forums for the past few weeks. I bought my MSP from LJSpeed in the classifieds forum (great guy to work with btw), and the car just got to me last weekend...

    garrett t88 turbo and intercooler

Check out a compressor map for a T88, it'll never spool from a motor your size. Even Supras need to rev pretty high to move enough air for them to spool. That's more matched to a small block V8 to make useable boost.
