Smic or Fmic upgrade, 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust, some type of ems(dsm afc, mpi, microtech). Motor mounts, and run at 10psi.

step 1: sell msp

step 2: buy something with an LS1.... like a 3rd gen rx7 w/lsX swap, that'll smoke GT's and Z's all day long. there ya go.

honestly you'd prolly need to go forged. Compared to those big V8s, the pro really isn't a good platform for straight up speed. i dunno, someone else would prolly be able to help you more.

LT1 or LS1?

I pulled a modded LT1 with FMIC, TBE w/ cat, K&N panel and Unichip @ 12psi.

lt1 is like 93-97 i think or somthing then ls1 is 98-02 i know its from 98 up i dont really know when it stops i have a 2001 Z28 right now. its for sale if anyone is interested lol.

Yeah, depends on what year it is that you wanna beat. LT1's run high 13's in stock form, LS1's will run low 13 to high 12s even in stock form. They're pretty dang quick engines.

I just sold my 98 Camaro this week, I'll miss that car.

This and practice launching 1st gear without bogging and minimal wheelspin. Upping the boost in a FWD requires much more precision. I am at 12psi with my Hiboost kit and even at 10psi can do a 1/4mile burnout through 4th gear. Smooth shifting to save your LSD from exploding also.

built motor, gt28rs, fmic, 3inch exhaust, some computer with a good tune

You dont need a built motor to run 13s, both focus and blkzoomzoom ran 13s on stock motors. I personally ran a 14.1 and that is only with two runs at the track and no tuning. With more practice and the microtech installed and tuned I will also be in the 13s.

humm so its possible and what is a LSD i cant figure out what it is. lol i know im a sped.

LSD = limited slip differential. you have one in your transmission.

Good tune with the engine management is going to be key along with the supporting mods. You can have all the supoorting mods in the world but they won't do you any good with a crappy tune. I have heard great things about kooldino, JDM sam, and a couple others about getting great tunes. I would talk to them.

so whats the deal, sounds like everyone is saying the stock internals on a good tune are good for 13s at around 10-12psi? or is that a no...
