Custom Smartcord Radar Mount

Here is a pic of how my custom mount is coming out for my escort 8500 hardwire kit with smartcord. This is the piece is the part that is a dummy cover for the stock radio where you can add a cassette/md module.

At this stage, I'm waiting for the glue under the yellow paper to finish drying, then I will take the smartcord and switch off, sand it down and paint it the stock black color (close to it at least) and then mount it. The switch will be pushed all the way in (not in all the way now, since it's a pian to take out again for when I sand/paint).

i got the hookup on escort solo and 8500. We sell them at work and I get 30% off on them. Lemme know if someone needs one and we may can work something out ( seeing as to how im leaving that job soon :\ ) (btw, retail price on solo is like 329, and the 8500 is 299, so I get my discount on that...)
