is this a decent turbo manifold?

interesting..... buy it and let us know...that is truly the only way. I do not believe anyone on this board is using it.

I wish you could see it from another angle, it looks like a two cylinder from that angle. Still it is very nice looking as far as the welding goes.

hmm well its an equal length design...means boost will kick in all at once instead of in stages, like with a log style manifold.....but like they said you'd have to run it to tell...I'd call and as for the tube dimensions...also see if its the same size all the way thru the mounting plate...theres really not too much to headers/turbo mannys...just size and porting...and well style...

like with a log style manifold

Can't say I have ever seen a log style exhaust manifold..... seen unequal length just never log type...on an intake mani sure. Post me a photo, you have piqued my interest

Matt whos log is that? Id like to get mine coated but JET HOT wants $165 just for the header. and I wanted the hot side of the turbo and the downpipe done too.

Make it your self? Also who or what is your coating?

And in response to the original post about that manifold, the flange looks identical to my DSM T25, and I think that putting it at that angle its going to be a tight fit.
My $.02

i have no coating yet...its a spool manifold...i thought you meant whos picture was that.

no prob, I should have been more clear. So I take it thats an install pic then? Its probably all rusty now correct? I just dont want mine to get all rusty and crappy looking. That jet hot coating, they sent info and specs to me, showed a 454 exhaust was like 591 deg or so then with a coated header it was 200. That rocks. Said you could touch it in like 4 min. We should try to get a group thing going so it will be cheaper, ya know?

my MAM kit will also be running a log type, but the turbo sits very high in the engine compartment from the pics i've seen :)

no it looks the same. when i get back from installing my motor mounts ill take pics of the engine bay for you.

not that high anymore. musta had a good proposal he didnt take mine. I did come in a little late though. Anyhow MAM has an excellent kit! From what he tells me for the money he had all the basis covered. What FMU did he go with BEGI for now? His MAF regualtor is quite the idea.

honestly i wouldnt go with something like that. Ive havent seen obx as a preformance company. Stick with whats good esp when it comes to turbo. If it means you have to wait another paycheck week.

Is very nice and the weld on the obx look to slow. i cant tell without holding it in my hand how great the welds are. Take a chance let us know

That thing on the side isnt the turbo flange, thats the wastegate flange. the manifold is pictured sitting on the turbo flange. Like all other obx manifolds ive seen it probably is flanged for a T3.

I dont know, theres some cars on honda-tech running their manifolds, and they seem to work I guess. Theres a bunch of cars on here running their headers, im included in that. The welds are pretty nice for how cheap it is, and fitment was great.

Matthew that manifold is ceramic coated, thats why its not black.

isnt the flying miata mani a log style?
yes it is

as for the OBX manifold, I can probably get it for alot cheaper than whats listed there. I'll see what I can do.

As for OBX not being a good company, I've got to say I totally disagree. Thier headers are top notch, the welds are seamless and everything they have ever shipped me has been L337 quality.

I am truying to make one just like it. The bolt pattern in the picture is not for a 2.0L Protege. If I would of seen it before I would of bought it for sure. If you could get more pics of the actual manifold that would be great. Other than that it looks great.
