today while i was cleaning out my trunk to get it ready for a new box tomorrow, i noticed some interesting things. i already knew i had cracks in my paint from the vibration, but i learned that the heat shield above my muffler is cracked from rattling, and i have a crack in my trunk floor. also i have to retighten the nuts on my tail lights weekly, otherwise they come off, like in the pic below. i also threw in a pic of how i had to remove the old box for my 18(drunk)

My trunk and rear deck flex in and out like crazy when I have it cranked! I had to take out the rear deck and haven't put it back in. Things you do for music...spoken like a true audiophile. (band2)

Yes i think i have bass, the screws holding my sunroof together fell off and my sunroof was sitting there free as a bird. My hatch is about to fly off and my wiperblades constantly leave bump marks on both front and rear windows. Bass is good (headbang)

i have decent bass... it's not a whole lot, but that's what i want. i'm not gonna get a 60lb monster supersub for this car. my hc is just fine. i MIGHT get a Mag D2 or XXX... in the future. if not, i'll sell this badboy and get an sx. no 15" woofers for me tho... i'm a 12" kinda guy.

with an H2 15 and a 2500D, i'd hope you've been doing some damage to your car(freak) i was looking at putting 2 of those H2's in a blazer i'm buying to build an SPL vehicle for competing.

the brahma did all that?

the first signs of damage were the cracks in the paint, but my old power acoustik MOFO 15 did that(dunno) the brahma could loosen up the nuts on the tail lights, but i only had to check them once a month. with the treo CSX 18 i have to check them weekly. i dunno about the crack in the trunk floor, but i'm gonna assume the 18 did it, cause the rear bumper has gotten sooooooooooo bad from it, and the heat shield wasn't too bad till i put it in.

why are you a 12 kinda guy? and please don't tell me it's cause smaller subs move faster(freak) i love when people tell me that, cause if a sub is moving faster, then it is playing a higher frequency. and there is no need for a sub to play over 100 hz, let alone 80 hz. i have mine x-overed at 60;) the HC's are sweet subs, though. if you were to get another 12, see if RE will still custom build the SEXXX for you. it's a combination of the SE and the XXX and is capable of some sweet SPL while sounding great:)

would you say better than the brahma?

you people are sick I bet you can't even hear the music. go for sound quality not bass.

i bet you have no clue what you are talking about(chair) i would suggest that you educate yourself before making retarded comments like that. i am an IASCA certified judge, what are you? i know what SQ is and exactly what makes a good sounding system. i guess that's why i've got a line driver, a 30 band EQ, a 4 way active crossover, and a bass cube, JUST to properly process everything for the best SQ i can get. so yes, i can hear music just fine. i can win competitions. and i'd be willing to bet i have a better sounding system that you.

naw, the SEXXX is a great SPL sub with good SQ, but the XXX and the brahma are designed for SQ and have good SPL. i'd take a brahma over a SEXXX.

to each his own seth. some like to compete in spl and some like to compete in sq. don't be som closeminded, at least with spl you get a solid number and not some subjective judges idea of how your car should soun.

yes, but they go hand in hand. When you go to a concert, you are listening to it loud and it sure should sound live. You can achieve both with a SQ/SPL set up. I know a lot of people do have just subs and it drowns out the sound quality, or any better yet, any other sound period, but if done right with the right amps and components, you can create a very impressive sounding system.(boom01) (boom02)

I know...(blah)

exactly. even after going through the training and certification, i still prefer the concrete # of SPL judging over the subjective score for SQ. the lower classes of SQ competition is even more difficult, since there is only 1 judge for the subjective listening. in the higher levels you have 2 judges, and while it make the setup/install harder since you are trying to create the optimal sound stage from more than just the driver seat, you know that you have 2 highly qualified judges scoring you, and if one gives an extremely high score, and one an extremely low score, then that will be looked into by the head judge to make sure there isn't certain favoritisms or biases. and thankfully the subjective listening judging gives the most points for reproducing all the frequencies, without one range being more powerful than the others. that is very evident when listening to a properly setup system. the sound stage and linearity however are more based on how a judge hears and imagines things. hell, they even took the RTA out of all but the rookie class, and they took the SPL out of the ultra classes. while i come from an SPL background, i've expanded so much into the realm of true SQ. i'm planning out a serious SQ vehicle for next year, but i might hold off to compete some more for SPL, since IMHO it's less expensive, and it doens't have to be pretty(second)

i just like 12" not too big, not too small, will sound loud(enough), not as heavy. i like how they look too. i donno... whatever. yeah, they still build sexxx, but i hear it's more of a competetors special kinda thing. it's a se with xxx coils and upgraded suspension. if i decide to get all hardcore, i might go with a si magnum d2, xxx or be hardcore and use an mt daily driver (freak) . although i hear these Incriminator death penalty woofers are pretty nice. and what the hell ever happened to better audio, i was gonna get their woofer.

the D2's are nice, but i'd rather have a brahma or XXX. the MT will suck for daily driving from what i've heard. it requires WAY too much power. basically they say that if you are really going to run it, you NEED to get 8 of the biggest amps you can get and strap 2 per VC(pow) the death penalty woofer is pretty good, but not so much for daily use. i'm still contemplating getting some dB monkey 15's for an upcoming project;) i haven't heard much about better audio lately. check out the blueprint 1203:
http://www.audioliquidators.com/sub.html

not bad for $159.

i hear those db monkey woofers wang nasty. they look hella ugly tho.

i'm just messin around with the mt. yeah i know it takes power produced by the hoover dam to run. it could prolly hang for a long time on a socket. the main problem is the tolerances are too close for daily driving. too much use will cause the components to scratch against eachother and ruin the woofer.

the dbm woofer should give you more than enough bass to break more stuff.

damn all that damage from that? i was hitting 150 with the jugg and i haven't found any problems, although i rarely ever listened to it that loud(only at competitions really), not sure if you drive around with the radio all the way up all the time.
