well I don't know...I know when i go through rain and puddles i get the same type of residue...while it seems it would be impossible that is exactly what happens to my 2023 turbo..some how it finds it 's way up there....for the record I detail the engine compartment about once a month and never let it go longer than a couple months..not sure how it gets there but it does....I kind of thought the op provoked it but maybe not.He was very confident that the residue in question, at the top portion of the engine bay was the result of mud getting splashed up from undercarriage. If he had attempted any work under the car or at least peeked into the wheel wells, he would have found obstacles making that unlikely.

Conrad was a good member. Sure he overreacted on that post, but in all fairness, OP was being a bit ridiculous, I think.
You're entitled to your own opinion, but I will say that the decision to ban was not a knee-jerk reaction. It was based on his past history, his disregard of the mod team's warnings, and most importantly, his conduct towards some other members.
Unlike other forums, it doesn't matter how long you've been here or what you've contributed to the forum. We have clear rules of conduct for using this forum, and sometimes the site admins and the moderators need to take action to prevent things from getting out of hand.
