What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Yesterday I did a quick wash, then polish and wax to prep for winter. I also forgot to mention that I swapped my winter wheel setup on last week.

Sorry for the pic quality, it's a screenshot from a video clip.

Took a quick drive down to the US to pick up some packages at the border.

HD really overpackaged these Milwaukee Packout boxes. Once I unboxed them, they fit just fine in the trunk with the 3rd row down.

Nice, I have been thinking of getting another drawer system but don't really want to get into cutting right now

For plastic boxes, these feel pretty nicely built. The drawers slide really nicely, and nothing really feels loose or low-quality about them. I can see why so many people like them!

I know I have the 2 drawer mounted in my cx9, wish it was an inch or so wider so I could put another in

Changed differential fluid and transfer case fluid for the 3 time. Car is now at 158k miles. Running great with only oil seepage the the OCV. I can live with a small leak.

I just got back from a weekend road trip to visit family in Calgary - 2700 km (~1680 mi) total. The drive from city to city was supposed to be about 14.5 hours, we did it in just over 11. Thankfully no hiccups or issues along the way, but I will be posting a fuel economy thread to ask the community for some insight.

Will be doing an oil change and engine air filter cleaning in the next day or two.

Winter ❄️ ready here in Kamloops, BC. 🇨🇦

Had the snowies 🛞 mounted and rebalanced last month. What a difference in ride quality.

Finally got around to updating the firmware 74.00.310 to 74.00.324 / Certainly faster and very easy to install! I can’t believe I waited this long. Hooked up a my Motomaster battery 🔋 charger 🔌 during the process and it was flawless.

Turned off the folding mirror function for winter. I know there was a TSB and a grommet issue but I’m out of warranty… so we’ll wait for the warm weather again to turn on the folding mirrors.

Swapped in a new battery in the Costco parking lot last night. I love Costco Canada's warranty on batteries! I took the battery out in the parking lot, walked it into the store to Customer Service, they refunded me the cost of a new battery and I just had to walk to the Tire Center to buy a new one. Then back out to the car, reinstall the new battery and I'm on my way.

I did swap to an Energizer AGM this time around, just to see if it would make a difference. They didn't have the Group 35 size I needed in stock, so I went with the 24F size. It's slightly taller than the 35 and about an inch longer front to back. Because of this, the battery is sitting on the "lip" of the tray in the back, but with the battery tie down secured, this battery isn't going anywhere. I could trim the little tabs at the front and back of the tray to try and get it to sit flat, but that's a warm weather project I'll save for later. I do need to clean the negative terminal though, so I'll be picking up some battery terminal cleaner and some dielectric grease soon.

your terminal needs cleaning, also use the acid absorbent pads or terminal protectant spray to help reduce the acid build up.

Creeping up on 348k on my 08, I replaced both front knuckles/bearings and front ball joints.

Walked out to the car in the parking lot to swap out my cabin air filter. Time to start looking for another 3-pack

Thoughts on K&N cabin filter? Anyone else know/hear anything about them?

I haven't used that one. These are the ones I ordered. I paid $40 CDN, looks like they're only $26 CDN right now so I'll be placing an order soon.

I'm due for a replacement too. Mazda OEM in Canada looks to be like you said, ~$40 CAD. I see Amazon has a 3-pack (not OEM) for $28, but Amazon is so hit and miss.

The K&N runs $45 USD, but since it's washable, could save a few bucks in the long run. I'll have to try to do more digging.
