When I play Spotify from my phone through bluetooth (CX-5), the volume is very low. What could the problem be..? I tried another phone and an iPad and still getting same result.

Look in one of the infotainment screens. There's a setting somewhere for volume. I had the same problem with Nav and I found a setting that controlled the volume. Probably one similar or same for external music sources.

i forgot to mention the car is a 2014 touring model and no infotainment. yes, i turn up the
volume on the phone all the way up and yet sound is minimal. when i play radio or from the usb thumb drive, sound is very good at 23.
