I want my tailights dark,need help.

I saw a Silver Protege on the street the other day,and his tailights 9the red part only) was kinda Smoked or tinted dark,i really like the look.
There is any product or spray to do this or is just what they use to tint windows?

Any auto parts fore the VHT spray and walmart or hardware store for Krylon crystal clear gloss paint.

Thats why I re-did mine too dark at first...goof off works great at stripping it off.

i got bored of the dark look and simply wet sanded them off, then polished it to a shine....


but now i want black again, might go with overlays this time though

wetsand (1000 grit), then reclear

Goof off... just rub it off (like 2 minutes this stuff is awesome)and re-do

Clean it all the way off and re-do it. Or you could probably wet sand some of the nightshades off and then re-clear it.

*Edit, wow I got beat by 2 ppl. Both of which said what I did. I fail...

or you could do it right and have them done in a paint shop.....

note the difference....mine shine like a freakin mirror even when theyre dirty

its clear coat mixed with black base....he did them a little too dark but you can still see them.

I just wipe it few times with a paper towel and 97% alcohol.
I was able to take the "darkness" a little,i will wait until nighttime to asses if i need to pass it few more times.
when i am happy with it i will spray clear gloss cote
