What's this metal disk that came with my AWR motor mounts?

I ordered the front and back mounts with inserts for the sides. I suspect that the disk has something to do with the passenger side inserts, but what side of the mount does it go on?

When you put the inserts in the side mounts, the order will be-

Metal disk --> insert --> mount rubber <-- insert <-- metal disk

And you use two zip ties to hold it all together. I've seen one person omit the zip ties replacing them with long bolts. Personally, though I think it's a little ghetto of AWR, the zip ties have held up fine with no issues.

must be a new thing awr is doing. never heard of a metal disk coming with the inserts. at least i never got it

I only got one metal disk, which is what I find weird...

Perhaps I'll call them up and ask what's the deal, the instructions that come in the box really suck.

if you only got one, it should probably go on the outside, since you wont be able to get it over the inner mount.

Mine only came with one metal disk. Its just a really big washer and its for the passenger side inserts. So looking at the mount from the front...metal disk--insert--oem mount--insert. I used long skinny bolts with small washers and nuts instead of the zip ties. I only used a bigger washer on the one side for lil better support cuz I partially tore the inside of the insert trying to force it on

Oh wait... sorry- I wasn't really thinking straight on this. I used the metal plate on the outside of the left side mount like in the pics. The right side mount doesn't get any plates. I also used washers to help the zip ties from digging into the mount over time.

I didn't get any metal discs with mine. Just used the supplied (I think they came with anyway) black zip-ties to hold them in place.
