let me know thanks guys!!

If there's a tweeter near you (or a SoundAdvice) they carry car audio catalogs with pics of some of their installs. There's one that's in a P5, and looks pretty nice. One of the setups even has a ported fiberglass enclosure.

Well, here is a pic of my old setup, it is currently being changed. Not necessarily and SPL setup, but hits hard.

You can also go on to cardomain.com and search for Protege5s. I know 'bigwoofer' had a competition type system in his P5.

Nice website, btw...you do all that work yourself? Looking for other projects?:)

thanks for the info..and yes i do freelance design on the side..

let me know :)

check out this starting site for a client "MAXIMUM THRESHOLD CAR AUDIO" they did my install..im doin their site..this is being slowly built..but check it out

nice looking fiberglass enclosure and SPL don't belong in the same topic:D my suggestion would be to utilize a CRX box. it's a ported box, with the subs facing up, and the ports down at the bottom on the back. they are nicknamed CRX boxes, since most CRX competitors use them, since they work so well in a hatch;) your setup looks nice in your cougar, but it looks like those 15's are in a sealed box?:confused: ported is the way to go, and i hope that is how you have the audiobahns setup:D those 2 should be easily in the mid to high 150's;) hell, if i can do a 147.2 with a single 10 in the stock 1 class of idbl:D and my goal is over 150 by spring break nationals next year:p anyways, back to the system for your wifes p5. with the CRX style box you have the option to have the subs at an angle and fiberglass it in. if you want to really compete in SPL you'll have to find the freq that is best for that car. it's a long process and is a pain to do without your own meter. but once you find the best combination of port area and length for the volume of the box, then build a nice looking box to those specs. you might also want to consider using port inserts, so you can remove the inserts for comps, which will tune the box higher to achieve higher SPL, and then with the port insert installed, it'll be tuned nice and low, for daily driving and great SQ;) what subs and amps are you planning on using?

black widow has the best install/Db/SQ system install I have yet to see in P5.

LaserblueP5 or something like that (maybe 1st MP3 in NH remembers the nick) had a pretty nice install.

I got you one better, some one posted this months ago and I saved it as inspiration for when I find the time to do my install.
