What are the tabs in the foglights that people talk about actually do? and removing them does what?

When you put the foglight bulbs in, there are metal shields/tabs that run the lenght of the actual bulb in the foglight and it blocks the light output of the bulbs. Removing these shields gives more light output from the bulb.

get on the ground and look at your foglights, you'll see a dark piece of metal around the bulb, you won't see alot of the actual bulb, just the end piece. On mine all you see if bulb.

Mine is 9006.

So blue sun, you also had to install an HID kit with the fog lights? Or did you simply replace the bulbs?

The headlights are HID's, the foglights are just yellow bulbs with that shield removed.
