Mazda3 Projector into MSP??

Ok I'm gathering info on a projector retrofit into my MSP. I'm debating whether to use the MSP housing or P5. I'm thinking P5 with the inside color matched spicy or black.

I've read here and on several retrofitting websites that the Acura tsx projector is the choice light for most all retros.

I'm trying to find out how well the mazda3 projector would work for a retro. I know that it's a D2S light which is what I want. Seeing as though both lights are mazda is it possible that the wiring could be plug and play. which would make the conversion so much easier.

I might even drop in a halo while I have it open

Can you post a pic of the projectors and if you have the wiring I'm trying to see if the wiring is the same. Most car companies use the same plugs for most all there cars. Have you seen the retrofit threads how-to's on this board? I think if the TSX, and BMW lights have fit, why not a Mazda3. It won't be a bolt on, and will require some cutting.

I recommend you using a HID projector. The TSX will work nicely, but your will lose the high beam. Because it is a single beam projector. Using bixenons have low and high beams. Examples are E55s, FXs, TLs and porsches. The MSP has a single reflector, using a h4 based bulb.

The mazda3's halogen projector performs poorly vs a hid projector. And the projector itself is big part of the assembly of the headlight. But you can cut them.

I agree with using a bi-xenon with the MSP housing.
My plan is retro a MP5 housing then mount that to my MSP.
I would like to retrofit 2 projectors into the housing.
I have been over on Retrofitsource.com and they recommend to mount a bi-xenon into the regular spot then mount a small fog projector like the ones from a maxima into the high beam slot. The Maxima fog is a 1.5 inch projector.
I think that might look sick!!
I'm also thinking of painting the insert spicy orange to match my paint, instead of the normal black.
I also just saw a lexus es300 with black lensed projectors and it got me thinking how that would look in there with the orange insert.

I've been thinkin about doin this also. I have an extra set of headlights I may try this with. Just a couple of questions.

1. (off subject)the old set have the sandblasted look, how can I get rid of this, if at all.
2. what do you use as a reference point to keep the projector "square" with the housing. or is it a "by eye" type of thing.

oh my bad, I didnt mention it was the plastic lenses that had the sand blasted look

There is a product that I came across while searching about the projector swap that is supossed to be great for plastic "sandblasted" lenses. They also mention in that same thread that buffing it out should be your last resort, but could be done.
