What would your ideal Protege5 look like?

My current wife's car is an '02 Protege5 (black). I'm buying a new fun car next spring as I sold my E30 M3 months ago and we're upgrading her to a new S4 Avant next fall. In the meantime, I've been tasked with making the P5 a bit more fun.

I'm clueless as to what aesthetic and performance mods are out there and as I continue to read through all these threads, I was curious what you guys would do with a blank slate.

This car (knock on wood) has been a champ. It won't leave the fleet, it will just be relegated as a third and standby car. My car is a DD/track car. The wife's car is the family-mobile, but still has to be fun to drive (hence the S4 avant).

so if it's a third and standby another good reason to leave it alone. dont waste money on it. well maybe just wheels, tint, drop, decent sound system....that is all...absolutely all.

It would look a lot like mine. LOL! I love my car and everything I have added to it had only made it more fun.

Dawm, I don't have a good picture with me at work right now, but Chris's Protege 5 from Team Flux is the nicest and best car I have seen to date.

This is about 3 years old. I am trying to find a current picture.

that p5 looks like a red x. that is one hat ass mod. make yours like that too. :p

It would look pretty similar to what it does now. Maybe add a drop, subtle wheels, and an MSP lip.

Wheels, tint and suspension make a huge difference.

Just look at my car stock, then rims and a drop. Custom paint makes a huge difference but that's a lot of money.

I'm extreamly happy with the way my car has evolved. For a car that's not a hobby or a passion (all my cars are a passion) then simple changes to make it yours would suffice. As stated above; Darker window tint, a nice set of wheels and some springs like Eibachs would make for a really nice daily driver.

And more:

Yes, it is a show car so I don't think performance is off the charts, but eh... whatever.
