....and i'm very happy with it. the header is a ractive 4-1 long tube, which feeds into a stock MSP 2-cat mid-pipe, which feeds into a magnaflow MP3 exhaust, all suspended by corksport urethane exhaust hangers. voloume is ever so slightly louder than stock. first time i fired it up after dropping it back down, the wife was outside and said it sounded better than stock. instant :D right there. running up the rpm's, it never really gets "loud", but just seems to be right. the set-up REALLY complements the injen sound.

issues:
well, it wouldn't be a proper install without some issues.... absolutly no issues fromt he header and mid-pipe. however, the magnaflow rubs one of the heat shields. i'm guessing its because of the urethane hangers i used. they have NO play inthem at all, and no amount of finagling of the exhaust would pull it away from the heat shield. so, i'll be getting some new stock rubber hangers, which i hope will allow it to drop below the shield.

that heat shield is my nemmesis right now - it'll rattle like crazy between 2500-3000rpm

wheels - well, i have some, i just need tires for them :(

Ractive header FTW! Nice work :)

And you could always just remove the heat shield. I've been in a turboed P5 w/ the heatshield removed, and didn't notice much of a difference.

so, i just rolled the car up on the ramps and beat the heat shiled with a rubber mallet - now, no more rattles!!!! exhaust sounds so much better now :D

getting there - you would think after 6 years of owning the car, something would be a little different :D i'm just glad i'm not makeing payments on it anymore, and i can actually spend money on mods now.

Mine sounded pretty stockish, not too loud when I first installed it......then I broke it in....BWAAAAAAAAH! Lol, your setup looks real nice man.

gawd, i HOPE not!!! its sounds great right now - it might could stand to be a LITTLE louder, but not much. we'll see.....

thanks for the comments guys - i'm LOVING this car :D

How do you break in an intake?? For the record, mine's sounded the same since I installed it.

not the intake, the exhaust - the exhaust will "break in" in the packing in the resonators

d'oh! Sorry, I was thinking of another thread on an intake install. My bad. Proceed :) lol
