Spark plug wires?

Also do the Magnecore's work with the 1.8L coil packs? Does anyone know where I could get the 1.8L coil pack setup??

You'd have to order a set for the 1.8L. It will have 4 wires instead of 2.

Hit Topher's link!

the magnacor 1.8L wires DO NOT work with the coil packs i'm running...trust me, i wasted the $$ on them.

Ok, then what are some good wires I could use with the 1.8L setup? I read most of your link and it didn't say anything about what wires to use??

So what would be the better way to go all around... The Nology wires that comes with the coil relocator?? Or the 1.8L coil pack conversion??

Why not? Was it the vavle cover or the length of the wires? I was thinking of going with the 1.8L coils and Nology (1.8L) wires.

I will send you a picture of the Nology wires I installed as soon as I get sometime to snap a few images. They are really nice wires. Definately worth the money. And as far as I have seen, only two of us have them. I am sure there are more, I just haven't seen them!

they don't mate-up with the coils at all. the ends are too big. i think they are made for 1.8L's with a distributor instead of coils.

Yeah, there's more than 2. Here's my pic.

It looks like your wires are sitting too close to your headers. Wouldn't the heat affect those wires??
Yes, heat does affect the wires. I've added a bracket to keep them off the header. The angle of the picture makes it look like they're right on top, but there's a good 4" between the header and the wires. The closest the wires get to the header is at the coil itself. I did make the mistake of not bolting the wires down to the bracket, they were just resting on them. After 40k miles, the insulation got cut and my wires crapped out on me.

I just installed my nology wires today. On the seperate ground strap it grounds to the coil mounting plate and to the top of the valve cover. Where did you ground the two other points of that strap?

I had my Nology wires for the P5 (not the MSP version that relocates the coils tothe rear of the engine) and mine were like 1" above my turbo... Needless to say I took them off, and I stopped misfiring too. Those wires were complete s***. Google "nology hotwire problem" and you'll see what I mean... If you really must, get the Magnecor wires, and replace the stock springs in the #2 and 3 plug boots if you want a better spark.

hope this helps?
