Transmission Internal Picture thread

We need a good thread with lots of internal pics of the G series manual transmissions. It will make a good reference. Post what you have here. I'll start:

transmissions look scary inside.

mine probably looks scarier.. I should subscribe to this thread so when it craps out I can look at the pictures and then look at mine and be like "WTF it isn't the same anymore!!"

(pops out of 3rd gear every once in a while.. drove for 4 hours with barely any gear oil (about a shot glass worth) after a little bolt near the drain plug mysteriously vibrated out.. now it whines a little in 3rd and 5th gears and isn't easy to push from neutral into 1st, 1st into 2nd, or 4th into 5th).. yeah I'm pretty screwed.

I feel your pain! Mine shifts terrible sometimes. Kind of takes away from the zoom zoom, you know?

I forgot to mention that I finished installing my Quaife as well as toss in a MSP diff into Rogue's P5.
The Quaife is awsome, I can't wait to compare my autox times to last years.

most likely.

but it's going to be hard to tell since the case holds the other end of the shafts.

so I will probably open it,paint whe gears,put it back,and check the pattern.

What that's all you got?!?!? Too bad I'm traveling on business all week. . .I have tons of pictures of the trans. . .having been brave enough to do the Quaife install long before there were any how-to's. . .simply put I couldn't have done it without pictures. I'll have to see what I can dig up once I get home (this weekend). Good thread idea though.

Not quite sure what you're asking here, but assuming your'e asking me how I'd want the pics layed out, I'd want if you could:

-a pic of the 5th gear area with just the black pan removed
-several pics of the primary shaft/gears
-and if possible - remove everything from the primary shaft in the 5th gear area, and lay them out in a line in order of removal.

The reason I'm asking all of this is because I had a guy bring me an 03.5 MSP trans which was missing half of the parts, and I need to know what's missing as well as the exact order and orientation of the parts. Since it differs from the older style transmissions, the documents and diagrams I have don't show me the info I need.

If you can't do all of that, then just do the best you can.

I'd really appreciate it if you could do that for me. Thanks in advance.
