will 18x8 +40 offset cause rubbing issues on lowered springs?(i currently have lowering springs) how about with stock springs? or should i just go with the 17x7 +45 offset. these are the only two options left with the wheels im thinking about buying

its been a while since i dealt with protege wheel specs but if i recall correctly, 18X8's with a +40 offset will not fit. the 17X7's with a +45 will.

18 x 7.5 with a 45 offset is pushing it to the max so the 8 will not work.

I'm selling some 18 x 7.5 rims

Have you looked at www.autornd.com (I believe they are still a sponsor on here) or www.wheelmax.com (they just sell generic knockoff wheels, it's where I got mine)? Wait.. white wheels on a yellow car.. that sounds interesting at best. I'd have to see pics of it to know if I like it or hate it :P

I really didn't think an 18x7.5 +45mm would fit on the Protege.. well I definitely know it wouldn't fit on the hatchback.
