Tinted Window

Well I got my tints done today, 35% rear, 20% Front... It looks awsome!! much sleaker look especially with side moldings removed. I'll have pics tomorrow. It cost $189 out the door, did I get jacked? its the best price I could find.

I absolutly love the way it looks. now I just have to keep the windows up for 4 days...

sounds close...I have an mp3 and it cost me 150 out the door, and I know the P5's are more expensive. I got 35 all the way around. I LOVE IT!!

$189 sounds about right. I got limo tint on the rear and back windows and 20% on the front windows.

Not legal here in Las Vegas....but what the hell...its ******* hot down here.

I assume you mean 35% front and 20% rear. Otherwise the darker tint is on the front.

i just got a quote for 149 for llumar stealth tint. . . .it looks wild. . it's like a mirrored gray, not like llumar platinum plus (which is silver mirror) and im going to get mine redone on monday. . hopefully it turns out well

Damn you guys get awesome pricing out where you are. I went to a tint shop the other week and they quoted me at $260 with the tinted windshield banner. I was going with 30% all around.

I just got 35%'s all around (expect windshield and sunroof )....looks great on Midnight Blue.....

Just a quick rant: I freakin' HATE the "silver" or "chrome" tints. They make a car look so cheap....man....I'm going to stop now before I have an aneurysm....

everyone around here are assholes and charged me an extra 20 bucks because i went 20 all around instead of 20/35...i ended up paying 220...i dont know why but every place around here is like that

Damn, you got taken. Tint rolls are the same price regardless of %. At least that is what my friend tells me who did mine, and owns his own tint shop.

yes i sure know that, but i wasnt going to drive to texas to have someone tint my windows...i tinted my own windows on my RX7 and after that debacle with the hatch window, i decided i just didnt have the patience to do my own work on my P5...plus its like 90 degrees here and id be sweating my ballz off

APEX, you outta come down to LA sometimes. I've been shopping around for windows tint too, and the highest I've been quoted is $200 bucks all around including life time warranty. Thus, I'm going to make my summer time worth it (means being down here in LA instead up in NorCal), going to head back to NorCal after the summer with my new tint!!! ^_^

Also, anybody done 40% tint? I'm thinking of 35% all around and paseenger/driver side 40% 40% sounds really odd, but I want to do what I can to avoid getting pick on by cops, yet I can still have the tint.

jliao i wouldnt waste your money, 40 percent will almost be not noticable...

I got pulled over friday night because the cops though my tint was illegal, He broke out is little light meter and said it was just barely illegal, so he let me go. I got 35% but the factory tint makes it a little darker than that.

I don't know it is because I live in Florida and everyone does tint but mine cost me $120.00 the whole car.

Soo, 35% tint is legal on passenger/driver side?

Also, that was just a thought, but I'll probably end of going with 35% all around.
