I just installed my Trubendz 2.5" Magnaflow Exhaust with a race pipe. It is TOO Loud.. I am going to wait few hundred miles to see if it will quiet down a little, if not I will put the hiflow cat. I also put my AWR Motor Mount and I love it. The difference is huge, no more knocking. Here are some pics ..

no offense, but no s*** it's gonna be loud...you have no 2nd cat and no resonator and Magnaflow is known to have louder than average mufflers.

Looks good tho.

You guys think if I put a highflow cat it will be better, I mean way better, because I was driving all day and now I have headache that is killing me. There is also an option to put a resonator in the place of the race pipe, what do you guys think is a better option to quiet it dow a little, and which choice will have a greater effect in gains. I know with the race pipe the gains are best? Thanks

add both. Is it worth chewing a bottle of advil everyday for a few extra ponies? I'm sure you could find those ponies elsewhere and not need earplugs with that advil.

It's a *race* pipe for a reason ;)

Thanks a lot for the info guys, I will probably order the resonator in the next few days and see how better it will be.

I have the same exhaust and it seems to have gotten a lot quieter to both me and my fiance. Wait a couple weeks, depending on how you drive you could do those miles fast or slow. I put about 1000 miles the first few weeks I had the exhaust to see if it quieted down any and to get used to the sound before going back to work too. I thought at first... resonator maybe because it was loud, but soon changed my mind. Go on some cruises around your area.. My exhaust drones a bit but that's to be expected. I go all for performance when I do stuff to my car. I didn't care if it was going to be LOUD. It was LOUD then and now it's just loud. I am pleased and love the tone of my exhaust, since the "break in" I've gotten nothing but compliments.

i would still go for the resonator.. it would reduce that droning sound...
i do agree with goldfish about noise level dropping after break-in period.
at least for me anyway, i have draxas base kit...

Guy who I had help me install it said it sounded like BS, the whole break-in period thing. I drove the car easy the first few weeks until the smell of the exhaust was gone/burnt away. Then I hit it hard because I had been waiting with much anticipation. It was great and the pull in all the gears was much improved on the top end. It did get noticeable quieter over time. I recently did a trip to san diego and we had the windows down most the way(im in vegas BTW) and the sound was not bothersome at all. Not even when doing 100ish in 4th/5th gears. I love the exhaust note this car produces with this exhaust. I have heard many straight open exhausts on hondas and this sounds beefy instead of like a kazzoo or a bumble bee. LOVE IT.

I didn't ordered a resonator I think I am going to wait after I change the header and see how loud it will get then. I don't know maybe it got a little quieter or maybe I just got used to it, but it isn't too bad.

The header will make it louder... :)

I personally think I am going to end up waiting on a header until fuel management is either cheaper or more readily available. Opening up the exhaust is good, but the performance gain isn't going to be something huge.

The OEM cat is also a resonator. I don't now if that's true of the high-flow version Trubendz sells.

the header may give you more gains then you think due to the primary cat built into the header... with a stock exhuast and the new thunder header i got 8hp and 4 ft lbs.... just food for thought

The OEM cat is just that a CAT. What is not true about the Tru-Bendz?

If you are adding a header I would get a resonator. It is very loud.
A hi-flow cat will not quiet it down either.

while a CAT does reduce the noise, it is not a resonator persay.

a high flow CAT will probably add to the noise level.

a header will most certainly add to the noise level.

It's been the same from day 1....you can't have a street car built to race and you can't build a race car for the street. You have to choose one or the other and comprimise all over the place and/or be prepared to get ticket after ticket and whatever other hassles come along with it. (legal or personal)

i have a header with stock eshuast granted but the volume really isn't that loud at all... i think my intake is as loud as the exhuast still...
