PCM grounds

Well, I decided to get the diagrams for the engine performance circuits of the MSP. I have attached a copy of the pg with the PCM grounds, and a pic of where they are at.

My issue is this, all of the PCM control circuits are ground controlled. these grounds are the only grounds for the PCM, located over 4 feet way, and to a bad ground. My plan is this, I will be relocating my grounds for my PCM closer to it. Im hoping this will improve response time for these circuits. Also, being in the engine compartment, they are subject to the heat there, and elements as water DOES get under your hood and corrode the connections.

They are pins 76, 77 and 103.

Interesting. By reducing the length, I don't think you going to get much of the response time since electron travel so fast. But you will reduce the resistance of the cable. Also make sure you get for corrosion because that's what really effect the circuit.

Let us know how it goes.

BTW, where didn't you get your circuit electrical diagram. Very useful stuff.

Mitchells on Demand. The best Diag program out there for Techs. :D My main concern was the corrosion at that loaction, the length was secondary. :D
