Optima Terminals

So I bought a red top and installed it today. The negative terminal won't tighten down. The more I tighten the bolt on the terminal connector, the higher it creeps up on the post! WTF? Positive is fine.
Any suggestions?

Such as...? Haven't seen anything different at the local auto supply stores. Should I be going to ICE dealers for this?

Maybe your + terminal is a - terminal. I had this problem.

see if you can flip it upside-down...
I'm guessing that there's a slope on the inside of the teminal causing the terminal to slide upwards..

I considered this, but then the bolts to tighten the connecting cables would be upside down... (doh)

you've obviosly spent some money on your car, judging by what i see in the pics, so go spend some money on some good battery terminals. check at an audio shop, or buy online.

exactly... find it at an audio shop, but if thats too much money, get a quality one on e-bay or somewhere else online

I bought it here in B.C. from one of the guys on MPSport.net. I don't know if there are any more available, it was a couple years ago now. You could try posting a WTB on the board tho'.
