So today my new motor was deliverd to my shop and when it got there, much to my suprise, the OEM clutch and flywheel was still bolted to it. Now theres SUPPOSTED to be only 175 miles on the car or sumthin (Engine does look nice and clean) so if that the case it would be an almost brand new clutch for dirt cheap. I ordered a spec clutch and fidanza flywheel the other day so i have no need for these. Tomorrow or wednesday ill unbolt them from the motor and inspect em to see if theres any wear on the clutch disk and cleck the flywheel for heat cracks. And as soon as i remember to take my camera to the shop ill take pics and post em.

I know this is supposted to be in the marketplace section but nobody ever looks in there (at least i never do)

probably around $400 for the clutch and flywheel. which i think is pretty reasonable because the mazdaspeed clutch was goin for a little over $300 and the spec ones are about $400. and the fidanza flywheel ran me another $300.

After i took it off the motor yesterday i noticed that you can still see the machine marks on the flywheel and the pressure plate. and theres some numbers printed on the clutch disk itself that you can still read. ill post pics in a few.

heres some pics. they show what i described in the above post. There is some surface rust but im pretty sure that would be gone first time you engaged the clutch.

can u call me 704 904 2757 and r they burned out?

burnt out??i dont think so. the motor was supposted to have come outta a car with only 175 miles on it. and once i got the clutch off there wasnt all the dust behind it in the spaces on the block like on my car when i took it off.

i talked to the guy that needs it, and he says it goes to the dealer tomorrow to see if they will pay for it. as soon as he tells me i can let you know. he agrees with the price plus a little extra for the convenience.- thanx, Doc

i just checked on ultrarev and the part numbers for the 2.3L and 2.0L are the same thing for the clutch and flywheel. I would call somewhere just to make sure but i think its interchangable.

the dealership is going to replace my freinds clutch at no cost. thanx for the info any way and if i find anyone interested i'll send em your way.
