center console (headunit) HELP ASAP!

Okay, im trying to remove the center console the one that surrounds the headunit (cd player) I read the how to and that didn't explain it, I know you can do it without removing the sterio, i was told you unhook the hvac (whire attached to these white wheels on each side driverside and passenger side) then just push from the back of the console forward and it pops out well mine isn't poping out i don't know exactly what im doing need any info or pics you can show me on how you do this asap.

turn the air vents pointing down.. put your fingers on the silver part right where the vents are (the little space where the vents would be if they werent facing down).. and pry it off.. it should just pop right off.. then you unplug 3 wire harnesses and presto....

All this after unhooking those two things under the dash on both sides.

i used a sharp swiss army knife to pop open the bottom, then use something to push off the dash soi you dont scratch it.

seems to work better if you start at the top.. and I dont reccomend using ANYTHING sharp, you WILL mess up the dash...

probally, my way worked for me. no scratches.

okay here is what i did.

i got it out using elementals way worked great.

here is a picture of what i did.

i replaced that fake carbon fiber stuff with carbon fiber vinyl looks better to me anyways.
