FYI, prices in Canada peaked at about $4.15 gallon US, now its about $3.39 gal US. Before katrina we were paying about $2.83 gal US. So ya we got hammered just like the US did.

I wonder if it will ever be possible for a President to be totally non partisan, not into soft money, no political agenda other than doing what is right. Maybe that is a dream.

Impossible. Impossible for any politican. I find it depressing that in the last two elections my choice was the "lesser of the two evils". We shouldn't waste our time wishing or hoping for the impossible, but for Christs sake, how 'bout a decent candidate. (shrug)
