Colour comparison

Can someone please confirm or disprove that these two colours are exactly the same?
I've been told they are but i don't know if i quite believe it
Looks a bit too different to be just lighting

The colour on the first one looks so much nicer than the second one.
One (or both) is 24A

depends on which miatas those are. i know the laser blue mica is exactly the same as the mp3 (ive parked next to them before and noticed the resemblence).

dunno, i just have those pics which i found on the net.
i don't own one myself.

I'm doing a full respray and want to get the exact colour in that first pic.
The website i got that first pic from says it is 'laser blue mica' (24A) but all the other pics of 24A I've found look more like that 2nd pic so I'm wondering if the website is wrong.

both. As said before..2 different cameras and the lighting will yield different results. I can make my car look either of those pics by just taking pictures at different angles.

yeah the 24A is tricky. there are times i see my car and am totally in love with the color (overcast days) and others where im just kinda likin it (when its dirty and direct sun). it changes colors somewhat. or so it seems to at least

Don't forget it looks purple at night. Atleast I know mine does when it is in a parking lot with a little overhead light.

everyday when i used to leave work at night i had my mp3 parked under a yellow light and from far away it made it look like i had a cf hood for some reason. so everyday i wish i really did. i dunno why it did that. 24a is such a psychotic color.

the black mica is weird to, in certain lights every body panel on my car looks to be a diff color, its freaky.

that damn mazda paint. always chippin so easy and freakin me out at night when the blue looks black..............almost like a shadow from a dent...............ive lost my breath so many times walkin out to my car thinkin something was wrong.

I love the look of my MP3 under certain street lights around me...it looks like a glowing, almost ambient blue-ish purple! Its so cool, I'll try to snap a pic of it...
