HyperGround System

I have the Hyperground system it dropped my rpm's at idle by 250. my car audio seems a little more stable. As for performance gains there are none that are noticable but I have not dyno'ed yet either. Hope that some what helps.

Do your own, save some cash

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, I really don't notice a perf diff. I did it for my 600WRMS stereo more than anything. But, it can't hurt. I'd do as I did, make your own.

i know someone on this forum has the AUTOEXE Earthing Kit... i forget who it was... but i know they were going for total JDM... also not sure how it stacks up against the HyperGround...

the only good thing that i have consistantly heard about this product so far is that it lowers your idle rpm's and makes your car "feel" more stable...

i am not saying that you should or that you shouldnt't; but _ I _ am going to get it as soon as i have more money... if not for performance, than at least to add more flare to the appearance under my hood...

System like this is usually used when the car is old, which means the elec system is not giving the power it used to give when the car was new. I think new cars like ours don't really need that, I'd rather spend the money on something else.

I made my own wires with large gauge fine stranded speaker wire. There may be a slight difference, but you have to check them out on a dyno. I know that Sport Compact Car has tested these, and they found that you have to move the attachment points around to find the best locations for the best power. Even so, they won't make much difference on our cars until the power starts getting up there. If you read the tests, the gains on a NA engine were a lot smaller than a hot rodded turbo car. Depends also on how good the factory grounds are.

As far as the wire goes, the Hyperground wire is probably the best out there. There are more strands in it than anything else out there and it's really good stuff. But you pay for it that's for sure. Electrons move on the outside surface of a wire strand so the more strands you have the better it conducts. When I was getting my wire at the stereo store there was some nimrod that was wiring his car with aluminum large gauge house wire! What an idiot!

Pics of my Hyperground!!!

My friend installed my Hyperground Wires... here's a pic... Not dyno-ed, but i feel the car revs smoother... i've heard that others want to make their own wires... power to ya. I didn't mind dishing out the money.
