New Mazdaspeed Parts Catalog...nothing for us.

Nismo still has parts in the catalog for fuckng 510's. BUt there are 2 catalogs. One that's just NIsmo, it's fairly thin and only includes vehicles in the current model lineup. BUt the Nissan Motorsports catalog they have parts for basically every car. Hell they even have turbo kits for the SR20 B13 and B14 Sentras.

I dont think there were any Mazdaspeed Proteges in real track races.
The one that I've always seen in mags and on TV is that blue NA protege with the CF wing. It's like 240whp NA and they go through many motors every race season apparently!

That's the Tri-Point Speed World Challenge Protege's. In order to keep up with the higher HP competiton they have the most highly modified engine in the series. And they don't last long. I think it's around 3 a season, while other teams use the same engine all year.

DocB races Grand Am with a "Mazdaspeed Protege." They allow boosted engines with a limit on how much boost they can run. (approx. 12psi) It's also a built engine though.

I think you guys are over reacting. The Mazda Motorsports Catelog would be comparable to the Nismo, Mopar, etc. catelogs in the fact that that's where they sell race parts for all their cars. I haven't seen the Mazdaspeed catelog but it sounds like that's what they are using to sell parts for ONLY current production cars through the dealers.
