Well I wish I would have read this ealier, I have all my parts in for my 3 in custom exhaust and it is going to be done next week, Question I have a discharge flange, it is not separated (divorced), is there some way I can have someone weld in a wall so I won't have to but another flange?

This is the flange I bought is there someway to make this separated?

yea they can weld on to it but it has to be done when its fairly new , like less then 30k miles to be safe . i talked to some one about it and they told me that when you weld to some thing like that your actually welding to the zinc in the metal and for some reason they can only do it when its relativly new.

You know you could sell it on E-bay and get another.or for that matter you can probably sell it here.

Where does one aquire theese types of flanges..This is the flange that attaches to the exhaust of the turbo correct, same place the s-pipe would attach?I'd like to get a solid one and a seperated one (exhaust/WG)..

why cant that flange be used? I purcahsed one for atpturbo.com, asked them many question and they sold me that same exact flange for a gustom turboback setup.

i dont get your question

he wants a separate pipe for the wastegate and the turbine outlet. that flange has it all going into one large pipe. the one he is looking for would have something going across the middle in the large opening to separate the two pieces

sssssssssssooooooooo did i purchase the right flange? or no? i just want to make a turbo-back setup. I needed flange to bolt up to the turbo so the S pipe can be made . Please let me know, Thanks..

how do you want your s-pipe to go? it would be better if they were divorced so the wastegate has its own pipe, and in that case there should be some separation on the flange, which can probably be welded in, so the flange would be fine. if you want the wastegate/turbine to share the same pipe, then that flange is perfect

well ALL i am trying to do is source parts out for a tuner shop to make me a custom back exhaust setup. I just want a turbo-back exhaust like other companies ot thre are producing for our cars... like Ion. I am not to sure abotu extra pipes for the wastegate and whatnot, what do you mean about that? And for a straight turboback, from teh turbo to the S pipe, is the flange i purchased correct? Im a little new to the turbo scene so bare with me.... just inform me
