Umm... Pics please. I'm getting mine finally put on next week, and I would love to know exactly what you did in detail... something I can take to my shop and tell them, do this, and get the same result. Where were the screws put in, what are these body clips, and where did they go. And pics... Thanks soooo much.

eli i just got my replacement lip in last night

needless to say it was folded twice more to compact it into the approximate size of a big basketball, with folds in all the wrong places that didnt seem to want to come out.

my team worked for about 30 mins trying to get it to hold down with various double sided tapes and what not, nothing held, as usual. The angle of the bumper simply does not match the DG design (cough, poor design)

then finally the solution arrived with 6 scres and 2 "body clips" as I think he called them. My lip now fits tight as s*** and we tried throwing the soccer ball at my front bumper to knock it off and it just doesnt come off.

Its raining like crazy here but I will take pics for you as soon as I can.

PS, this lip fit WAYYYYYY worse than yours does.

PPS DG your design is crap

Well, I just noticed this thread I had no idea there were so many of you that were having problems installing the lip. We are doing a test fit on a vehicle tomorrow but we believe the problem is that a small area below the grill needs to be shaved in just a bit more than it is to acheive a perfect fit... I will post our finding tomorrow along with pictures, we will get this matter resolved to a point where our customers are happy. Please give us the time to correct the matter at hand and once again we apoligise.

Thanks,
Amie

Amy is right.. When i had mine installed they had to take some off the back where the lip touches the grill and at the corners when the lips starts to wrap around the bumper by the grill. It took the body shop about 1 hour of test fitting but it was well worth it. The used 3M in front of the grill and along the sides and two screws on each side of the iner fender and the lip looks very nice and fits like a glove.. If you wont it done right get it done by a pro..(yes)

Hmm, this is all very interesting...glad I don't have one yet, though probably still will in the future...hopefully all bugs will be worked out by then...whenever the hell 'then' is.

i cant wait to see what amy and DG work out cause my fiberglass lip fits pretty well.

besides the poor fitment im having tones of problems getting the mold release agent off. my body shop said they cleaned it like 5 times but the release agent just kept coming to the surface. hey DG my shop says to go way lighter on the release agent!!!

my full c/f lip fits really well. i dont really have any close up pic's, but i could take some low quality camera phone ones? hahahahaha....they suck ass
i have some decently close pic's i cant post up really quick? anyone want to see?

what I want to know is this. When I look at pics of people's rides with the lip, some times it hangs down like in example 1, and sometimes it if perfectly in line with the side skirt like in example 2.

I'm not sure if it's just because of how it's fixed behing the wheel well, or if it's something else. I'm getting it put on soon, and I wanna know the best way to get the ex 2 fitment. Thanks for letting me use your pics guys.

i kind of agree with mp5 that its needs to be installed right. im not saying there arent problems (because i cant see your lip in person) but mine looked like s*** before i went back and installed it correctly. the trick is a s*** load of scotch outdoor 5lb tape in a roll (which costs all of about 3 bucks at walmart). once i loaded up the front and sides with that tape (which sticks like a motherfucker no matter WHAT weather, im finding out now that i sold my lip and trying to remove the leftover tape) it looked very good, and at shows and in social gatherings i never got anything but positive comments. then use two self tapping screws per side to pull in the fender sections.

I sent my brother up there today to do a test fit, we'll see what he says

Well we just finished the test fit with (very minor sanding) below grill area we have a perfect fit..... I would assume the one's who have a good fit took it to a body shop to have it professionally installed..... I will be posting pictures shortly, for the people who have a poorly fitting part I will show you where you will need to sand. We will be trimming the ones we currently have in stock... As for the problem some of you are having with the mold release you have to use a scotch brite pad and a cleaner such as acetone. That is what we did and we were able to get the tape to stick just fine. I'm sorry for the troubles some of you may have had but it was an easy fix, next time please notify our company and we will take care of it as we have just done.

Thank you
