I will suggest the used one~ Also when you buy the 1.8, you can ask the seller for the ecu, they always give it for free. Or you can say "it should be a set"~

I think you can keep the trans~ But you need a new ECU for the 1.8 engine

ya~ I used a 110V power adapter, and line in from my CD Player. Sounds better than a lot people's 12'' which in the trunk ~ The bass very clean and clear.

I has a aony subwoofer which can put it under the passenger seat in a 98 Protege~ It sounds very good~ but someone broke my window and thieved it..... sad..
