You're right! (uhm) That price was just $30 lower than from a Mazda dealer in Peoria, IL claiming to be selling genuine OEM at $289:

It seems that many dealers don't care to be competitive in pricing. A google search might help to find better places to order from online. Here is one site that came up while searching for the wheel part number (9965-08-7090)...
Yes, they're great. Last season I compared a new set of blizzak's on a subaru and a new set of hakkapeliitta's on my CX-5. They're both outstanding for traction.

I'll chime in also as I used to live in Webster - the place worth living!
If you happen to desire to go with OEM rims, then here are some specs that I've dug up:
OEM wheel common specs:
Wheel hub center bore: 67.1mm

Offset: +50mm
17" OEM
Wheel: 17x7"...

I have both a 2016 CX-5 & 2016 Outback. I have to say that they both perform excellent on snow covered roads. This year I have driven on ice, unplowed roads 18" deep with inclines and...

My 2016 hasn't had any squeaking yet. This morning temps (-12C, 10F) were a bit chilly, but no sign of anything to & from work. It sits in an attached garage every night though.
Don't forget when you are manually shifting that sports mode can also be a used. Someone mentioned this in another thread and I was skeptical until I tried it for myself. While you have full control of the shifting, it is in the gas pedal response programming that makes it a little more...
If you are just looking for a way to keep the accessories on when stopping the engine, hold the shifter button in while pressing the engine stop button.

I'm not certain, but I think the Juke wheel might not fit because I've read that the center bore is only 66.1mm, whereas Mazda wheels are 67.1mm.
So close!

I concur with your thoughts. It's not like the previous Mazda ALC where a selectable amount of compression can be applied to achieve a more consistent level. Rather, it is supposed to monitor the cabin noise and adjust the output level to compensate. I'm pretty sure they intended it to work...
