I'm pretty obsessive about my interior, well, my vehicle in general. I work in a fairly large bar / restaurant, so my shoes are filthy by the end of the shift. I place them inside a plastic bag for the ride home. The only person allowed to eat in my car is my two year old daughter, who can...
I currently have a 08 in Black Mica, my previous vehicle was a 2001 Miata in "Brilliant Black". I've tried most of the waxes / polishes out there, and I've had really good luck with Gliptone products. Their "Body Gloss" spray detailer is an excellent product. I've also been very pleased with...
I installed my old Voodoo knob from my previous car (2001 Miata) but it simply didn't look right with the different shift boot. I've looked at "Monster Knobs" but for now I'm sticking with stock.
I don't think you could wrong with either one. I chose the Sport as the dealer had a very limited selection. I test drove a GT as well, I liked the "bells and whistles" but didn't feel a need for them.
Congrats on your ride, looks nice and clean in the photos as well. My first car was a 1975 Chevy Vega (I'm 42 years old) and the gas gauge didn't work. Ran out of gas on the NJ Turnpike on the way to NYC. Things have been progressively better since then !
Bought my 2008 Sport on Christmas Eve, only option was Sirius. Sticker was $23,700, had the dealer knock off $1,000, and managed to get $7,000 for my trade, a 2001 Miata with 91,000 miles. Bought my car at Preston Mazda, on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
I've been pretty faithful to Mother's Mag Wheel Polish, been using it for a few years now and it does a nice job. In a pinch I'll also use a spray detailer, my detailer of choice if Gliptone's "Body Gloss".
The orange dots you mentioned sound like the "rail dust" that was brought up in a previous post. "Rail Dust" is caused by friction generated by the train wheels during transport, a common issue. Wash the car thoroughly, and use a clay bar with plenty of lubricant. Follow up with a quality wax or...
Time to toss my 2 cents in. I'm 42 years old and my first car was a 1975 Chevy Vega, so I had a tough time even keeping up with the speed limit. Been driving since I was 16 and never been in a accident.
My daughter is 15 months old, if it were up to me she wouldn't be in a car seat, she would...
Thank you, her car seat fits nicely in the back, and the wife wholeheartedly approves of this vehicle as well. My wife was in a serious accident about two years ago and always viewed my Miata as a death trap.
"Cosmic Black Mica", the dealer has a very limited selection and the only other vehicle in stock was a touring edition in "True Red", which looked great, but my previous two vehicles were black so I stuck with it.
Due to the weather I haven't really had the chance to experiment with what type...
Hello all,
I took possession of my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 Sport on Christmas Eve, Merry Christmas to me... the dealer (who shall remain nameless) was fairly clueless and I managed to get him to knock off $1000 off the sticker and up my trade by $1000 as well. Needless to say I was pleased.
My...
