actually you have but you cant see it because your wastegate and boost gauge are fed off the cold side of the intercooler therefore your turbo is working harder to open the wastegate because there is a big fmic in the way
The only way timing control can help a mazdaspeed is because mazda's timing retards when the car is warmed up. If you had a front mount you eliminate the need for this. Also if you run c16 you can have you a really nice timing curve :). Besides I personally think its more dangerous giveng people...

i have the 9lb flywheel and it does not feel any different on the street and when you get on it is freekin awsome(it can allow you to powershift faster because there is less stress on the gears from the momentum of the flywheel weight when you re-engage the clutch)
