2025 Red Seat Covers

My girlfriend just got a 2025 CX-5 carbon edition, she wanted one with the red seats but couldn’t find that anywhere near us so she went with the black leather interior. I’m wanting to get her wine red seat covers for Valentine’s Day but I’m having a hard time finding a set that matches the stock seat style, also I’ve always heard that you should stay away from universal fit seat covers. I definitely want them to fit snugly and look good, if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it! Her rear seat has the pull down arm rest(I’ve seen sets that don’t have that option).

I saw a lightly used set from EKR that would be perfect but the post said it was for 2017-2023 and I’m not sure if there’s any difference between those years and a 2025, or if there’s difference between the size of the seats for different trim levels.

Yeah I’m not sure if there’s a difference between the Carbon edition and like preferred or grand touring, I would think all the seats are the same shape but I have no way of knowing.

all the seats are the same from dimensions perspective.
The only difference is the cushion for the ventilated seats is bit different from foam perspective only. Overall the seat shape is the same from 2017-2025 incl.

Not sure what EKR is, but if buying cover which is generic on ebay or amazon , bear in mind they are just that- generic even if they say they are for Mazda.

I'm sure my wife would love red seats, but would these covers mess with the heated and vented seats?

They may reduce the heating speed a little bit, but they will certainly mess with the cooling if not sufficiently perforated.

I'd leave the seats alone and add red accents elsewhere in the cabin.

Carbon edition doesnt have ventilated seats.
Seat cover would be ok. Heating may be felt depending how much padding the new cover has.

Thank you for the info! EKR seems to be a higher end seat cover manufacturer, sadly when I messaged that lady about the listing she deleted it without responding so I assume they’re already sold. Do you know of any good seat covers that aren’t overly expensive? The only ones I’ve found that look similar to the stock seat design(the lines not the dimensions) were like $800+ for front and rear which seems crazy expensive to me.

Must be an additional feature because hers only has the heated seats, no ventilation in them at all. Another weird thing I’ve noticed is hers doesn’t have a button to turn off traction control, imo that option is vital if you get stuck in the snow.

They moved that function to Off-Road mode on the i-Drive selection.

Does it have to be in the M mode for that to work? I think I read something about that in the manual. I know I had it in drive and the off road activated but TC kept kicking in and made it hard for me to get unstuck.

No, sorry. Every cover I have tried in the 50-200$ range wasnt good fit at the end and I decided not to use any after all.

I ended up finding a full set of the EKR’s for $320 so I ordered them and I’ll give them a shot, they should be here on the 16th so once I get them and put them on I’ll report back with how they fit. Worst case I have to send them back for a refund.

Okay thank you! I just know it kept turning on even after pressing the button that showed the car driving on a mountain. The dash light came on for that mode but when the tires would spin TC still kicked in.

Another question I can’t figure out, is there a way to remote start with the key fob? I don’t see a remote start button, and the dealer told her that the only way to use remote start is through the app… that seems pretty dumb to me, we shouldn’t have to pay $10 a month just so we can use the remote start feature. Hopefully there’s some secret button combination that triggers the remote start.

I did figure out that if you put the seat where you want it and press the set button, it beeps then you press and hold unlock on your key fob and it’ll beep again, after that any time you unlock it with said key fob it’ll automatically go to that seat setting. So we programmed the two key fobs for our individual seat settings, it’s nice to know that when I open the door the seat automatically moves to my preferred settings! I just wish the mirrors would automatically move as well, but it’s not a huge deal, the seats are harder to adjust than the mirrors!
