2017~2025 CX-5 Memory seat setting procedure?

Will someone please tell me the EXACT procedure for setting the driver's seat memory as well as the key fob memory. This is my wife's car and I don't drive it that much, but every time I get into it the memory function doesn't position the seat where I thought I had set it. I've tried using Google, but it seems the videos I find are all a bit different and none of them seems to work.

If I remember correctly:

First, adjust the seat to your liking.

1. Press Set button, you should hear a beep.
2. After you hear the beep press and hold button no. 1 until you hear another beep. All set, the seat memorizes the settings.

For your wife you can use button number 2 and repeat the procedure.
Wife gets on the seat, she adjust it the way she wants and then press Set button... same procedure but with button no 2.

When your wife uses the car, she needs to press button 2 and the seat should adjust to the settings memorized on button 2. When you need to use the car, press button 1 and the seat will adjust to your desired settings.

On a second thought: you may or may not hear a beep when you press the Set button. But you definitely should hear a beep after you press button 1 or 2. That tells you that the seat has memorized the settings.

I've tried that numerous times without success. I believe the trick is to have pressed the start button the right number of times before pressing the set and seat # buttons, but I'll be damned if I can figure out the right combination. Every time I try to set it, the next time I unlock the door with my fob the seat reverts to some previous, incorrect setting.

Never worked right for me, setting for #1 works but #2 is always off. Everytime I get in and press #2 I end up readjusting. Sometimes it's close and sometimes it's way off. I just live with it since it's my wife's DD.

Sounds familiar!

You have four independent seat memories: two on the chair and one in each of your two key fobs.

When you unlock the car with a key fob the drivers seat will be instantly set to the position memorized in that key fob.

On my car the seat it's not instantly set to the position memorized. It goes into the memorized position only when I open the door.

OK, checked it today again. It's a lot simpler than you think.
Grab your fob, go to the car.
Set the parking brake;
Put the gear lever into P;
Start the engine.
Adjust your seat to your linking.
Press Set button on the seat, you hear a beep;
Press and hold the unlock button on your fob until you hear one beep. You must press and hold the unlock button within 5 seconds after your pressed the Set button on the seat.

Repeat the procedure with your wife's fob.
