I was going to wrap it red, I have the akera g35 but like the sporty lookI am curious what color you want to change it to?
The Akera G35 is turbo but the piece is black. Haven’t check the other models but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same with the rest of the line up for manufacturing purposes. That is even more confusing. This piece only comes on the Turbo cars and only in red.
I can confirm my 23 Turbo is actually a black piece painted red from the factory. The Akera G35 is turbo but the piece is black. Haven’t check the other models but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same with the rest of the line up for manufacturing purposes.

I think this is how I’m going to go about it, would love to get the whole piece out and vinyl wrap the whole piece in one sheet but it looks like access is very difficultI can confirm my 23 Turbo is actually a black piece painted red from the factory.
I found a Reddit post where a user took the vinyl wrap and just shoved it into the nooks and crannies with a non marring tool.

I think if you open the hood you can probably remove the inside trim and get to it..If you look behind the grill you can see the horn.. there are some push pins and rivets holding the trim just pop those and you should be able to get to the screws from the top..it almost looks like you could get to them from underneath as well if you remove the panel from underneath..I used a little mirror and could see the screws so I bet it would be fairly easy once you kind of see how it is held in place.I think this is how I’m going to go about it, would love to get the whole piece out and vinyl wrap the whole piece in one sheet but it looks like access is very difficult
You might be right, I honestly can’t remember when I was replacing my grill when it got shattered by a giant rock. The top trim comes off easy enough, but you’ll probably need a right angle screw driver to go after the screws on the rear of the accent.I think if you open the hood you can probably remove the inside trim and get to it..If you look behind the grill you can see the horn.. there are some push pins and rivets holding the trim just pop those and you should be able to get to the screws from the top..it almost looks like you could get to them from underneath as well if you remove the panel from underneath..I used a little mirror and could see the screws so I bet it would be fairly easy once you kind of see how it is held in place.
looks like plenty of room to remove the screws if you remove this trim and use a small screw driver.
I took a look in my engine bay this morning, but I’m still skeptical. I don’t think all of the screws will be exposed. I think you can get one screw out but I think another screw is covered by another piece of trim attached to the car. That’s what makes me think the bumper still has to come off, but taking the plastic trim out of the engine bay is easy enough to confirm if this is true or not.
Thanks for the photos! I am trying to replace my horn and can't figure out how to remove the smaller rivets on the painted panel below where your hand is in the picture. I can't pry the panel open after loosening up the sight guard. What tool do I use and what alternative fastener can I use if I break the rivets in the process?also if the M emblem pops off which I can't remember if it does or not there would be plenty of room to reach through the hole in the grill and remove it..I should have saved that piece when I hit the bear and destroyed my grill..
Those metal rivets need to be drilled out. I wouldn’t do that though. Id remove the whole bumper from the car to replace the horn. Won’t need to remove the metal rivets if you do it that way. You need a rivet gun to redo them, the OEM part is crazy expensive for some reason (I redid them with plain rivets for that reason), and they’re a pain to drill out without the rivet spinning and ruining the paint. Thanks for the photos!
