2017~2025: CX-5 Damage by improper lifting squashing felt underbody panels?

Please help me with this. Took my Mazda CX-5 to a carwash for an undercarriage cleaning, and when checking the photos, I've noticed they did not use lift blocks, exerting pressure (squashing) both underbody panels (aerodynamic shields) in both sides with the elevator. Process took around 25 minutes.

Although my Mazda seems to be working fine, I understand there are some delicate components protected by those squashed panels shown in the photos.

What are the exact components who were potentially damaged by doing this?
Should I be concerned about this?
Do you have any photos of the Mazda cx-5 without those underbody panels exposing those internal components?

I thought the plastic panels were to improve aerodynamics by smoothing airflow under the vehicle. There are not too many fasterners holding them on so it shouldnt be too hard to remove one and take a look.

Looks to me like that lift should still be "lifting" the pinch weld. I wouldn't think it would squish those plastic under panels.

Do you see squished panels now?

These are pictures of the undercarriage from the next day. A technician said that there was no damage whatsoever, your opinion please?

Those look nice, however they are not deep enough for Japanese cars.

You need a slot that's around 7/8" deep.

I'm using these which clear the pinch weld and lift from the body on either side.

I hear what you are saying but that simply hasn't been my experience.

If anything they dig into the rubber of the puck and still don't cause damage.

Do they really dig in that far, though? The issue isn't causing damage to the pinch weld via contact, but by resting all the weight on it instead of to the sides of it. When you use something with deep grooves, you imitate the factory jack in the trunk.

I've never seen a car wash that used a lift to clean the underside of the car. The washes that I've seen all use a system that you drive over to spray the bottom.

I've never used a quick jack system, nor have I seen one in person. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the tires supposed to be on the jack?

Damage or not, I would go through the roof if I had seen my car lifted this way!!! That's not proper nor is it professional.

This looks to be a hand wash/car detailing type setup and not automated wash.

The whole point of the Quick Jack is basically a small vehicle "body" lift anywhere you want one. I've considered getting one since roof of my garage is too low for a standard lift.

OP: Carwash company should be using pinch weld blocks with their Quick Jack.. can't tell if that was the case in pictures or not
