Show me your CX-5 wheels

First post! Been a lurker on the forum for awhile. Just upgraded fro
2015 Mazda3 GT hatch to 19 GT Reserve a few weeks ago. Even though it doesn’t drive quite as much like a go cart at the 3, loving the extra cargo space and the torque!

First off, thank you to everyone for your posts. Really gave me a good idea of what direction to go in terms of fitment for the look I was going for.

Just got winter shoes put on. Bremmer Kraft BR18 18x8 ET 35 with 235/60r18 Blizzak DM-V2’s.. Steering inputs definitely a bit delayed with the fatter higher profile winter tires compared to stock rubber on 19s. Also feels like a bigger magnitude response to same steering input. I would guess this is because the wheels are a good bit further out from the strut with lower offset and the width increase on the wheel and tire. Longer lever = more movement from same steering wheel input.

That being said, they look great and I’ll get used to the handling characteristics like I did going from 18s with summer tires to 17s with wider wheels and blizzaks on the Mazda3.

I would probably go with 19x8 with 40-45 ET and 235 or 245 if I could go back. I think they would be a bit more responsive with lower profile and look a bit more premium as well. They would also be slightly more conservative in terms in terms of stance. They’re pretty much 100% flush with the 18x8 et 35 with 235/60R18. That being said, the 18s will perform better in the snow and potholes in the Colorado mountains. I’m a powder hound so drive through some pretty gnarly blizzards to get to the best skiing conditions - in the end, safety in those situations is the top priority. Save the risk taking for when I’m on the mountain!

Just happened to have a nice sunset on my drive back from getting them mounted, so here she is! A few different exposures for your viewing pleasure.

Hey all, first post. 2020 CX-5 GT owner checking in.
Anyone have a pic of 255/45/19 on 8.5 wheels by any chance? My current setup is 245/50/19 and I'm not a fan after a year...
Cheers!

Just swapped back my winter blizzaks set for the contis truecontact.

I did weigh all my wheels this week. Smaller rims = lighter weight. Also, Blizzaks tires are much heavier than A/S contis, a whopping 4.7lbs per tire at 225/65/17. There might be some rim weight difference though, since contis are on 2019 Hyundai SantaFe rims while blizzaks are on 2015 CX5 rims.

Unfortunately, I sold the 19" cx5 set before weighing in. I do remember them being even heavier than my 17" blizzaks set. Guessing ~60lbs per wheel+tire.

Hello Everyone! I am finally ready to buy some wheels and tires for my '21 CX-5 Carbon Edition. I am in love with this set up but want more pictures of this car. Does anyone have?! I think these are ADV.1 wheels. I emailed ADV.1 and am waiting for a response.

Yep, those are definitely ADV.1 wheels, specifically the ADV15R Track Spec CS Series wheels. They are a 3-piece forged/step-lip construction. Be prepared to spend some money if buying these brand new! They sure do look great though. I think the rim diameter in the picture is 22".

What do you think? I photochopped some rims i'm looking into buying. Black on Black. It's not 100% to scale, but you get the idea.

With big brakes: (too bad they don't make these suckers for the cx-5's yet)

Isn't that so nice of Photobucket that's the reason I stopped using them years ago now!

Thanks! ADV.1 just confirmed those are the ADV15Rs as you mentioned. $2950 EACH as shown in the picture. Wish I could splurge on those but that’s way to pricey.

There are some cheaper options available out there, though they won't look exactly like the wheels in the picture you quoted. For example, ADV.1 also sells a similar wheel in a Track Function spec with "entry level pricing", but the spokes don't extend to the lip. There is also the Ace Alloy Devotion, which is also a 15-spoke design, but is 1-piece cast construction, making it heavier but much, much more affordable.

XO wheels London 20x10.5 all 4, offset 30mm front/20mm rear, KGtech silver extended lug nuts, lowered on Megan racing springs, KYB G shocks, 275/40/20 Falken A/S G5 touring tires, MV-tuning fender flares.

Great look, love the deep concave with flares so there’s no poke. I wish I could have found nice flairs for my ’20 model when I was searching for wheels.

Theres some poke if I didn’t have the flares but with the flares it looks flush in my opinion. I’m sure there’s flares for your ride out there.

Hey all, new owner of a 2013 CX-5 sport. 200k, manual, great little car. Wanted something oem looking but snazzier than the stock 17s. This thread helped me figure out how great the RX-8 wheels would look so i wanted to post back my car. Tires are Pirelli 235/60/18. Gas mileage did go down slightly with the oversize. Should have stuck to 225/60/18.
