Exhaust valve CX5 2021 Part number

Hellos Guys!

Recently I've got my Mazda CX 5 Touring 2021, but it came with a check engine light on (it was imported so its not possible to claim or to complain to anyone) After scanning it and doing some research, I found out that I have a sensor/actuator missing and that this is causing the check engine light to stay on, could any of you guys help me confirm if this is the part number of the sensor I need 706366070( I have been looking and this is the part umber for the CX5 2018 model and the CX 30 from2019 to 2022, I think they use the same, but I want to be sure before I order it), I've attached a picture of where the sensor should be placed.

Regards !

Although I can't confirm for certain that it will work for a 2021, I can't imagine why Mazda would have needed to make any changes to this part.

I dont understand. It should still have a warranty, right?

It sounds like he bought the vehicle from an importer in a country that has no Mazda dealerships and evidently none within any reasonable distance cross-border. Alternatively, a thought came to mind about this one year old used car landing in a foreign country....

Upon further review, exportation in some circumstances may void the warranty as kinda sorta insinuated here:

Hmmm. Shouldnt a local mechanic be able to at least get replacement warranty part's for free even if he has to pay for labor.

Same part number 706366070 mentioned, although it isn’t a standard Mazda part number, and it isn’t a separate part sold by Mazda:

Sensor catalytic converter, cylinder deactivation - Solved

But it didn’t have CEL with damaged wires, but an error message. And this part is only for those 2.5L NA’s with cylinder deactivation; and your “imported” 2021 Mazda CX 5 Touring may not have the CD, hence the “actuator with sensor” isn’t there.

"The vehicle must be brought to an authorized Mazda dealer for all warranty service." That's a quote from my warranty booklet. It's surely the same for all Mazdas given it's SOP across the industry. Anyway, the part is not defective, it's lost or stolen. An original owner might get some traction in claiming it fell off (or shipped without it these days), that being a less compelling argument for the second owner.

Anyway, per the edit I made to my last post, importation of a Mazda may void the warranty regardless.

We could end speculation as to the circumstances if the OP would illuminate us. ;)

Hi

Thanks for the replys ! The Vehicle doesn't have warranty coverage here in the country because it was imported, and the dealership representation in my country does not give warranty support if they are no the ones who import the vehicle. They want me to buy the whole pipe and I'm no willing to buy it if the only part I'm missing is just the sensor and It can be bought online.

As for the part I think it was stolen in the ship or something like that, when I got car, the sensor was not there, the pic I uploaded was from the actual car, I forgot to mention, the error code I am getting is the P2BF6 related to the valve.

Regards and Thanks !

yes unfortunately the warranty is not international.
For example past few years lots of used cx5s from NA were imported in some countries in Europe. One could get it cheaper if it has some dmg and import and fix it in eu, then register it there but no warranty.
The msrp of cx5 in Europe is more even as new as it kind of a luxury brand there.
