I did it!!!

Bah. More chances to ding the doors on stuff.

Been using these for over 10 years on my cars and will be getting it again for the CX-5. They do the job:

Ew. No chrome. [emoji16]
I've had black ones before. You know I'm just tearing the 17 down so I feel better about my 16, of course. Lol
(Although I will say in a year of ownership I've never once thought "dang, it would be really handy right now if this door opened wider".)

Chrome looks good on sonic silver :D

I had a few scuffs on the chrome trim so I say worth every bit

I have the exact same set, bought @ Pep boys installed in 2 min. flat - push-in type for +2 years now with ZERO issues and it's RED color - almost matching my Soul Red CX-5.

Any hint what store you get them from? I'd prefer to order the type that is know to fit.

I just purchased it from a local car parts retailer called Auto One.

It comes in 2 long and 2 short. You can cut it to size if needed.

Ah....I was hoping for a recommended Amazon product. I see some that claim they use metal clamps and that concerns me. I may check out Canadian Tire to see what's offered there.

No clamps at all. Just slides on

I have the feeling that the next suggestion pertains to a rubber room. One in which people can't hurt themselves.

This is too easy. Get some foam pipe insulation. Run some twine down the middle and hang this so it will be horizontal. Easy door protection for a few bucks.

I can beat that. Just don't take the CX-5 out of the garage. Then nothing will ever happen to it [emoji14]
