What have you done to your CX-5 today?

What did I do for mine:

cleaned up the gum someone decided to drag along the passenger side from front door handle to rear door handle. Cleaned it up used a small dap of rubbing compound / cleaner, Then re waxed the area.. they left a scratch as well that I'll need to fill in a bit with the sonic silver paint i ordered 3 weeks ago ( still not arrived to the dealer) then let the touch up paint cure and buff it again and wax again.

Nice.. IMO: VR4 was really ahead of it's time.. sad to see how astray Mitsubishi is today. Couldn't you even electronically change the tone of muffler sound?

lol. on the flip side, here's what the engine bay of my VR4 pretty much looked like (minus the shiny bits).... you need small hands to get almost anything done in there. I used to pop the hood and say "welcome to my nightmare"....

Live in a back country road paved but very little light. So I decided to help pit my HIDS a bit. $35 couldn't say no. Lol not amazing but helps produce light above the hid cut off. Not for town use.

Yea, they test US models there. Not China models. This car would canabilze the 9 here. So unless the 9s days are numbered...I don't get it.

This 3-row CUV has been rumored for a while in Asia. Chinese likes anything with the "8". I believe this CX-8 will sell much better than Chinese-only CX-4. Not only they want a vehicle which can seat more people, but they hate "4" related to vehicles due to superstition! :)

Cool mod, by the way. I put a magnet on my car today.

I hit 1,000 miles in the 2017 while coming back from a weekend beach trip. That is the fastest I have ever put miles on a car. Coming back with cruise on 80/81 and bikes on the tail, I averaged about 25.5 mpg.

......... I put a magnet on my car today.

just a heads up, my coworker had a "keep christ in christmas" sign on her trunk lid for a while, when she took it off, it left an etching in the shape of the sign....seems like either hard water, or acid rain or just hot summer sun somehow made the paint underneath the magnet a different color from the rest of the paint...... there was no way to get rid of the etching, she tried everything, she ended up just putting the magnet back on to cover the flaw. sort of the same issue if one waits too long to debadge OEM logos, if wait too long the paint underneath the badges end up darker than the rest of the car.....

also see link I found about this same issue....

Not my first magnet. I've seen what they can do. The trick is to move it often.
I'm sure it will be stolen soon.

Cool, but at the same time, eww. Looks like a minivan from this angle. Hell, dare I say it? Look at the back-end and window lines. Looks like an ugly CR-V to me...

Cleaned up my CX-5 a bit this weekend. Bought some magic eraser and cleaned up the black plastic trims that I got compound/polish on last weekend.

Also, finally pulled out all my all weather mats and cleaned them. They certainly needed it after this winter/spring. I need to find a vacuum that can get in the hard to reach areas.
